Install gone bad...SEIZED BOLT!!

Well, the bottom line is its done and looks great! However, I was worried we were never gonna get there. niedejb, thanks again for the help.

Well the right rear strut had to be cut off because the bolt head broke right off....We didnt want to sacrifice melting the bushing by torching it, so we DRILLED the long way through the bolt....atleast 12 hrs and MANY drill bits later. Enjoy the pics. They are in random order....you can imagine the story on your own...I dont think I need to explain....A picture is worth a thousand words!!

What's left of the stock bolt........

AFTER:

Hope you enjoyed living some of our PAIN!! LOL...time to shop for 18's

I have my KYB's set on 2 in the front and 4 in the rear....rides real nice with my stocks. Its noticeably stiffer, but feels more sporty than annoying. I am really staisfied with the ride quality...however when the 18's come, im sure it will feel more firm with less rubber on the road...none the less..IM HAPPY! Now if I could get my new alternator to work....

I could have gone a long long time without wanting to see that stuff again.

Man.

Good luck on the alternator.

I like these alot, but it figures they are out of stock....I guess ill keep looking. Im definitely into a long spoke rim and most likely chrome, however some of the silver rims arent too bad. I kjust think if I buy silver, I will regret not just going chrome

Where were you when we needed your help man! LOL

Anyway,
Not new. I bought the shocks and springs from ICED_TEAL_ CL. Which was an excellent transaction by the way. He paid shipping in exchange for my factory BOSE amp.

Anyway, I would like a little lower in the front, but if I dont have to worry about camber, IM HAPPY WITH THIS SET UP!!

I don't think chrome will look good on your color car. I'd say go with silver.

I know, thats one of my concerns, however chrome seems to dress any color up IMO. We'll see. Ill post for opinion when I get them.

All I can say is we used two drill bits mostly. While I dulled one up drilling under the car, niedejb was sharpening another. Pain in the ass but worked finally after several hours of patience. Its either that, or torch out the rubber bushings and replace. I wouldnt go that route though. GOOD LUCK!

i have no idea why anybody says the fronts are harder cept for maybe that the springs are extremely compressed. the rears werea nightmare. my car sat up on jack stands for a month while waiting for bolts, bushings, etc

and if u do torch out the old bushings, gettin the new ones in is a bitch in itself
