I'm havinga weird problem with my CL.

Every time I start my car in the morning, when I shift from P to D and roll over some bumps, I hear a knock metal sound from the front suspension. Also if I would brake and re accelerate suddenly the sound will appear.

After the car is warmed up the sound seems to vanish away. We can't pinpoint what's the problem. We checked the brakes, the suspension looks good.

I guess I'll have to go to the dealership. I was just wondering if you guys have experienced something similar.

Have your cars had the control arm/ball joint recall done? Check in to it.

control arms should not make any noise when going from p to d when you are at a dead stop. When your motor mounts go, especially your front and rear. When you put your car in gear it engages your tranny and puts that stress on yoru engine. Just open your hood and have someone stand infront of your car and when you put it in gear, you can definatly tell if its your motor mounts. You will litteraly see the engine like pretty much fall backwards. Just dont run over the guy infront of your car. lol..If it is your motor mounts they are soooo easy to do yourself...PM if you want me to tell you how to do it.

If your car is droped too much the camber will make the control arm hit the side of the car(thats what happined with me) not a big deal just rip it off

Ok I went and had it checked by Acura. They found out the front shocks are leaking. I had them order the shocks, but I'll install them with my father.

ROFL...they are actually cheaper than aftermaket ones. I called some shops around and turned out that the OEM shocks were cheaper.

Both of them cost me like 200 US dollars.

They were raping me on the install though. 250 for the install. LLLLLOOOOLLL

So theoretically 450 in total + tax. LOOOOOOOOOL

BTW, just curious but if you want OEM shocks, where do you order from?

They were 100 a piece give or take for tax and blah blah blah....
Thats 400 bucks for all 4.

You could have found KYBs a lot cheaper on ebay. take a look!

These are the nonadjustable ones.

LOL...what do you think, I came right out of the woods. Obviously you can find cheaper.

But I called some speedshops and they quoted me 126 canadian for 1 KYB. I called Acura and to my surprise they quoted me 114 canadian for 1 OEM shock.

Since I like to keep my car stock, I prefer OEM.

On EBAY you can find cheaper yes. But then I get owned by shipping, and duty to have it delivered to Canada.

Plus I wanted OEM and no other. If I lower it, then I'll look around.

Oh yeah and when the UPS guy came to my door with that bill, I was like GTFO here with that ... He goes: Well, if you don't pay we will just transfer the bill to a collection agency that will make sure you pay. LOL

Had me there. I had to cough the dough.
