saw cloverfield last night, was pretty good and some of the main chicks in the movie are damn fine. Odette Yustman FTW.

I got my car back today.
Everything is fine except my bumper isn't on right.
The one side is sagging much more than it was.
They have been great through the whole process and the work looks great, but they were being real assholes about this bumper problem. (Actually both seats and all my mirrors were adjusted, which tells me someone was all laid back in my car, cruising around - I stupidly forgot to look at the odometer so I can't say how much driving they did, but there was 0 reason for them to drive the car anywhere off the lot.)
To make a long story short, they said bring it back on Monday and they will try to fix it.
Like I said, they were being real assholes about the bumper, so I'm thinking about not even taking it back there and just trying to fix it myself. Does anyone have any insight onto how the bumper (just on one side) can be raised? I don't know what they did to it to make it lower like this, so I'm not sure what I can do to fix it.
And I tried pushing it up to see if it's just loose or something, but it doesn't budge. It's tightened up, just with a big gap there.

Sooooo good to have the car back, so fucking pissed that they fucked my bumper up and that they're acting how they are.

I had the same kind of issues when I got my car fixed. I rear ended someone and had to get my hood and bumper replaced. The bumper was crooked, the paint was already cracking, and when they painted my hood they forgot to cover up the wiper fluid nozzles.

Oh, and they put my license plate frame on crooked with screws that were too long so it ended up scratching the new bumper all to hell.

Tell me about it. If I move back to Texas, I can set up another appointment for the roll cage with another account I set money aside to for the CL. But if I stay out here, I get the feeling I'll be needing to use that money to live untill the new offer can be met. Which will take a month to a month and a half according to the boss over here. I'm just fucking pissed I spent my $4,000 I had for the CL and might have to spend the money from my other account to continue out here till things settle. Or I can suck it up, spend it, and start saving again. But you have no idea how angry I am inside. I thought I could pull off the money I use to make, but haven't been able to. And now I have to wait another month to month and a half to do so. Fuck! That's why I'm eager to get back to Dallas before it's too late. I just want the next step fucking done with already. If it wasn't for me having to wait the 8 weeks just to get in with the shop that was gonna do the cage, then this would have been over with already and I'd be worrying about sending my heads out to get built which was only like $1600 + misc. Gosh damnit! I had a surprise for everyone, and now I don't.

What do you guys think?

^^^ I think despite all that, do what is not only best for the car but yourself. Hopefully you come back to Texas tho! I have always wanted to see your car in person hopefully in one of the up coming Texas meets when I get my license?

Just realized I've been a member here since 2004 and never posted ... wtf? Guess the g2 teg forums weren't to my liking ...

my baby:

r.i.p.

i love the new whip though, it's like driving my dad's /91 teg GS when he first got it, before the drop & greddy etc ... 5spd is so underrated!

wanting to do all kinds of shit to the 2.2, and my wife is concerned it's gonna turn into a toy, and not the reliable dd we bought it for (in case I leave my job w/ the '07 silverado & gas & insurance all paid for) ... i'm trying to be a grownup but I want to drop it so bad

what i've been up too:got an AEM CAI (actually that was back in December) Nothing really new on my car lately, i've gotta save up for a decent late model truck for work and i'm also looking at houses, with all the foreclosers. Today all i did was wash/wax and detail the interior. I'm dying to lower it now cause the stck suspension IS LAME AND BOUNCY and i hate the 4x4 look. Also i've noticed a few new paint scratches lately....i'm uber-picky about that stuff and i want to touch those up soon. Also i've got a factory spoiler already painted and ready to go on just have'nt got off my lazy butt to do it, lol. And waiting for the cruise-ins t start. Ohio is a pretty lame state the area of Cincinnati in particular.

No shit bro. I got $60 from el paso and I used it all for silicone sealant, hight temp paint, and leds. Oh and I'll be getting some woodgrain parts from a dude in the black market. 1StGenCL I think his name is.

Guess what I found when I was rotating my tires...

Front on top, rear on bottom.

Stupid camber/toe issues AGAIN. I drive 50+ miles to and from work 5 days a week and it kind of freaks me out that my front tires look like that. And only after about 6 months of driving on them. Good thing I have an extra pair of Hankooks sitting in my garage...

looks like it. I'm waiting to hear back from my dad. I was away for the weekend and they said that someone was stumbling around drunk on the streets this weekend and the cops came and arrested him right by my car.

see you guys in 3-6 months.

Damn klepto! That sucks so much bro...

Here was my day. I dropped my car off last night at the dealership to get my camber kit installed. Long story short, Eibach sent me the wrong kit, and they were too big for the control arms. Shit! So I had to pay them $100 to tell me that, which was nice. And I lost my car for a day. On top of that, I was going to change my rotors last night but we couldn't get a bearing off. Blahhh, so I was expecting to have new rotors, pads, and a fixed camber by tonight, but none of that happened, and I'm out $100 more.

I did go to the dragstrip tonight though and watch my friend run a 11.36 at 122 mph in his '06 EVO. He also ran a 14.66 at 95 mph in a bone stock '06 Civic SI, lol. Next time I'll take the Blacura for giggles.

yea, called the cops yesterday and had them come out and take a report. The cop radioed back to the station to find out about the incident that happened on the weekend. They said they arrested the dude for being drunk, not valdalism and unless she pulls up the report and it states that they found a knife on him AND call him and he admits to having a knife, then I'm pretty much SOL.

While looking at my car, she murmured something about "no front plate, huh?" to me. I was wondering if I should have rolled down my fronts and put my plate back on before I called them but I knew they wouldn't be assholes and ticket me for those at the time.

Anyways, I forgot that I have certificates for free replacements from america's tires. Its only for road hazzard, but I'm going to give them a call later and see what they can do. Or maybe I should just take them in and play dumb, wondering why all 4 of my tires "blew" at the same time
