I have two springs done. Two to go. What a PITA - no press for the bushings + seized bolt = using a cutting torch and dremel to remove old bushing.

I'm going to get flamed for this, but I ground down the metal collar around the bushing about 1/64", greased it, and tapped it in with a similar size socket (~1") and a hammer. The trick is getting it in straight, as well as getting the old bushing out (cutting torch).

Chris are the front bushings as difficult?

The fronts are about the same, but there's way more of them.

Anyone want to tell me why my pro-kit dropped the back really nicely, and why the front did not drop at all?

I'm so fucking frustrated.

I'll post pics tomorrow I guess. When I mean no drop, I mean, I can still stick my entire fist in the wheel well. The back = two fingers.

Not only that, but I'm still on the stock struts so the front is loud as hell and rides like shit. I can hear the springs knock everytime I hit a decent bump.

It's even that's the prob.you have less wheel in the back so the front APPEARS lower. The wheel gap in the front is high as fuck stock. The little 1-1.5 in drop with lo pro's or even stockies doen't do much. I dropped my tl-s 1-1.5 and I still wanna go lower.(stock front wheel wasn't bad)

drop with lo pro's

stock height

The accord v6 prokits are tighter spring rate in the front because of the heavier engine so it actually works against the look of the car

DoubleShot two things....prokit = very mild drop, should def just go straight to sportlines, and you must be ecstatic that the flyers finally won a game lol.

I'm going to save up and see if I can afford Tein Basics, or the GCs... I might have a hookup to get the Basics cheaper, so that would be my best option. I'm 3 grand in debt, which doesn't sound like much, but for me it is. That's gotta be eliminated before I can make a major purchase. The only other suspension besides coilovers thats going in this car is the stock suspension if I get sick of the ride - I'm done with spring setups.

Fortunately, I got a paid internship in the field I want to be in, and I got hired back part time to my job that originally laid me off.

Chris do you think we could add something to the n00b guide about the pro kit? I guess it's pretty well documented on here that it's a conservative drop, but I didn't realize it was THAT conservative. I should have searched for more people that installed them I guess, but I think it should be right in the n00b guide that the front springs do nothing at all to drop the car. I'll even provide pictures... I just want to spare someone from going through the same thing I did.

Oh, and I smell a comeback brewing....

Car wouldn't start this morning. Broken starter and another $400 gone. Atleast I'm getting a brand new one for about $80 less than a rebuilt from Honda.

Since my car is outta comission, i've been driving my dad's 93 accord. I made it 262 miles only using a little more than a quarter tank of gas! I was amazed, i mean i thought my 4 cyl CL was fuel efficient, this thing is a true gas sipper lol.

that is very good milage. a fill up has been costing me on average 75 bucks a week. gas prices are insane. but i calculate my milage, im actually getting more than honda rated the car 13 years ago....25 mpg instead of 22 mpg.

IMO, the TLs look pretty low to begin with. Atleast, they fill out their wheel well better, that's for sure. Pro kit drop doesn't look too bad on a TL.

But hell, on a CL, you can hardly tell the difference. Could be Percy's rubberbands, but you're right, that IS conservative.

My car = FAIL... the left HID won't stay on now. It fires, lights up for a split second, but won't stay on.

I saw at a local dealership they have the following:

2003 Acura CL Type-S (Check)
Color: Blue (Check) - I'll take black or blue.
Mileage: 55,000 (Check)
Transmission - Autotragic (FAIL)

If that was a six speed, my two 1st gens would be gone.

the lack of power in this gas sipping 93 accord im driving is now driving me insane. I dont have the HP to pass people when i need to fast enough on the highway like i do in my CL. Its annoying when you're trying to get past an asshole 18 wheeler in the rain that keeps spewing rainwater off the road onto your car.

No - AcuraZine is copyrighted. Internet Brands, who owns AcuraZine, would have to allow it. Back in the day someone was selling AZ stickers on eBay, and they got shot down real quick. I really wish they would open a merch store though, I know people would buy t-shirts, hats, stickers, etc. It's not even a hard thing to do if you know what you're doing. I'm sure IB has a reason though.
