h22 or turbo?
LOL, there is one board member that has done a turbo and he is dynoing something like250-260 at the wheels. It would be nice, but I don't like the idea of having to beef up the internals. If I had the choice, it would be an h22 nitrous fed monster.

i hear ya nied, but the H22 comes into effect when you really plan on doing more then just the swap. The prelude motor will be capable of alot more when put w/ equal mods of the f series motor. I think alot of people are buying them planning on building them. It's a steep price to pay but the h22 is a far superior motor when it comes to multipling up high HP numbers and a good power band.

I think the market has driven the price of these engines way too high (much like the B18C). Its sad when you could by the car for a few hundred more than they want for the engine.

This is even worse. Paying top dollar for an H series engine and then tearing it down and throwing it all away.

ahh the beauty of being in the scene and living on the west coast

just picked up a b16b for a buddy's civic hatch for 2900 COMPLETE! Know people who are paying close to 5400

h22a's can be find through the right people for about 2300 complete
you could have a pretty nice sohc turbo setup. many people underestimate sohc motors, and when they are built well, they can perform be quite nice. we've got a few turbo'ed and na sohc civics down here doing 12's.
personally, im glad that i swapped out the f22 for the h22. even though some of you think that it is a complete waste of money, it was a great investment for me, and others. you do what you gotta do.
