a stock cam'd h22 doesnt see any gains past 7400, 7500 would have been best. but 8k works just dont take it that high. Heres a dyno graph of a h22 with i/h/e

nah there really busy over there, and i dont think they would be able to do the wiring.

the wiring looks like a spaghetti dinner of cut wires. i have no idea how im gonna be able to do it. im definitly putting my car on a flatbed and sending it to my performance garage for that.

heres what we did so far today. doesnt look like much but it is. right after the picture we just took the header off. basically all we have to do is disconnect the axles from the hubs, and take out the engine/trans mount bolts and that thing is coming right out.

yea were using a hoist. what am i doing wrong? the only thing we fucked up on was the header, by not taking off the bolts from the header itself to the downpipe.

and AzN im not sure about that yet. ill definitly be selling my dc sport header though and my straight pipe. the new headers downpipe is so long that it delete's straight pipes/cats alltogether.

all i did was remove the radiator, disconnect the engine harness from the passenger side shock tower, disconnect all vacumm lines, remove axles, disconnected the header from the cat extension, remove ac lines, removed the battery and various grounds that connected the motor to the car and finally put it on the hoist and removed all the mounts.me and my friend had it out in an less then two hours including draining the ac lines. I didnt mean to imply you were doing anything wrong, just maybe more work then needed..oh and best way to get it all out was to tilt the motor at an extreme angle with the engine side up and trans down and slowly bring it up watching for the map sensor, it loves to break lol

well unforunately for me ive given up on doing it myself. i ran into too many issues with tools and working a full time job and working overtime everynight. i also made my nightlife somewhat of a priority aswell. i need the swap done, so tommorow morning its going on a flatbed to my performance shop.

im really bummed i couldnt complete the swap myself. but i have absolutely no time, and all my friends schedule's conflict. at least i saved a few hours in labor for the techs. doing it.

thanks for all the advice and comments fellas.

First time I ever pulled an engine out, took me 3 hours (89 crx). Damn, 2 hours is good. Good enough to run a chop shop, lol.

Anyways, great job on the swap, coming along nicely.

thanks for the offer, but im a defeated man, and at this point im willing to shell out the money to get it installed professionally.

and also and this was the kicker. if you read the fine print for the warranty of the motor. the warranty is voided if the motor isnt installed professionally. which means if i was sold a fucked up motor. then im beat.

so heres the story with the swap. pretty much i bought a motor that has a blown head. the valves are bent, and the cam gears are off by 3 teeth. so on friday im going back to the motor place to exchange it for another one. when i did the tensioner i notced a bolt that snapped from the motor itself, and i didnt like it and neither did my mechanic. this snapped bolt is allegedely caused the head to blow.

sooo long F22!!!
