i recently got a 97 acura cl used with 110,000 miles on it and noticed that when the fan for the air is on, there is a high-pitched squeaking somewhere behind the center of the dash. does anybody have any idea what this may be and how to fix it?

 

i think clpower had this same problem......not sure though...somethin bought his vents makin a noise

 

man my shit is doing the same shit.... when or after i turn my AC on or off it makes a sqeaking noise behind the dash on the drivers side.... then it starts to make a lil knocking noise..... what the fuck is it?? it is driving me INSANE!!!!!!

 

I got the same shit also. I think it is a part that wears out once it hits a certain age/mileage. It is a panel under the glove compartment. Friend told me u unscrew it and you can take out the wheel inside that panel. Its easy to get to according to him. Depending on condition you might have to replace, or clean and oil.

 

Yah I got the same thing going. It usually only happends when its real hot. I hit the dash and the sound stops.

mine makes noise when going 90-110 mph. other than that its hush

 

so how in the fuck do we fix it???hmmm....

sounds good bigg pimp!!!! but my noise is coming from the drivers sidd and it is making that knocking noise by the floor board!!! thanks alot!!! ill be looking for it!
