I hope you have shit loads of money, because a swap like that is nowhere, even remotely close to cheap.

It's not like doing an h22 swap.

...I'm just confused as to why you'd swap OUT a j37a1/2 with 300 horsepower and swap IN a j30 with 200 and a lot more miles. Am I missing something?

lawlz at direct bolt. No. Maybe it's just me but i'm assuming with all the custom fabbing that would be required, you could look to spend a minimum of around $3-4 thousand, maybe even more

check out online, google man, i'm lookin for info on a j35 swap. the j37 has high potential, from what i've read...but there are some problems right now for it. So far, the j35 seems pretty good. I plan on a j35a3 block with a j32a2 head with RL pistons...look it up, it's being done as we speak

to me it would seem that this swap would be way too complicated and end up costing you big $$$. Like it probably could be done, but with an engine that just came out there would be less info and aftermarket parts to back it up. Plus the vehicles which currently contain that engine are both AWD. Seems like way too much of a headache IMO, but there's only one way to find out if it'll work, try it yourself

j35 uses the same mounts as a j30, I have not seen anything about the j37 though. Pretty sure the mounts are all different, I know the new TL 3.5's are different

not worth the time & money it'll cost you cuz it'll all be custom..

if you got money to spend just go with the j35 w/ the CL-S 6 speed tranny, its been done & you wont be dissapointed..

If you have a 2.3, its gonna be a pain in the ass to get a J series in there, the way the F and J motors are mounted are completely different

yeah definitely, sometimes i have doubts about doing it...i'm still researching. Gonna ask my mechanic to refer me to a good tuners shop, and ask him about custom mounts...we'll see. This is sorta like a 3-4 year project i'm doing so i have plenty of time haha

^all you would need is the 3.0 subframe w/ 6th gen v6 accords mounts (i think the tranny mount has to be custom) & you shouldn't have an issue, maybe hood clearance if anything..

yeah i've looked into it

If by mid muffler you mean the resonator....have at it, it's been done.

As for the swap, no it hasn't been done with that engine. If you have the money, the engine, and the shop that can do it, then get started on it. That way we can see another swapped J series in the crowd.

what you should really be concerned about is finding someone who knows what they're doing to do the wiring for you cuz thats the biggest part of the swap

it can be done with a lot of money and time. Its gonna take a lot of trial and error. always keep in mind that failure is possible.
