Engine Swap

I have been meaning to ask if anyone has tried to do an engine swap from a CL 02 Type S motor to one of our 1st gen's? I would love to start off with 250 or so horses and then start moding.

I'm not sure...but I'd think that the CL 02 Type S engine would be to big to fit in the 1st gen CL engine bay...the best bet for an engine swap would be putting a h22 in ur car...I'm sure you could do more to the h22 then the CL 02 Type S engine....can anyone agree with me on this one...I think I am starting to learn my stuff now about the CL...

yeah i am very curios is it worth it
did it thow of the wieght so much to negetivley affect the handling
i would imagine so since the 4's i think lean forward and the new leans to the back right

its far from worth it.. it would require custom mounts to my knowledge.. no one makes any types of internals for it.. as apposed to an h22a.. where it pretty much bolts right up and a few different companys make internals for it.. wtf you going to do with a brand new engine.. nothing.. and you'll prolly waste 10k just getting a stock motor in the car.. to have a cl-s.. waste in my opinion.. whatever your into tho.. oneqwkv supposedly has all internals done and everything.. i guess its possible.. i'd rather buy an nsx or an s2000 for that amount of money.. to fly right by this cl with a cl-s motor in it.. please tho.. i'm curious as to all the parts you put into this dyno sheets.. 1/4 mile times.. enlighten me.. last time i asked there was some confusion and doubt in my mind

Yeah if I had the chance to do the swap again I wouldn't. The reason why I did it was to be different since everyone has a civic or integra...No custom mounts needed but you need a stand alone ecu to run it.

Yeah I posted pics before of the car. My best time so far
R/T .535
60 1.075
330 4.735
1/8 7.71@ 91.73mph

Opening day at englishtown was only running 1/8 miles cause of the high winds.

I went to englishtown on friday but couldn't finish the 1st race since I blew a head gasket and cracked a piston but I will be up and running the 1/4 soon...

..the car hasn't been on the road for 3 months.. and i lost my cl to a tree.. wtf you want me to do.. duct tape a pvc pipe in for the axle and run some strings for the shift linkage?.. and btw.. i enjoy to know what i'm running before i run it.. so you may as well spill your one last mod to me and how many lbs of boost your pushing out of it.. we'll meet half way or something on the parkway and find a spot from there..

read..

Spoon ECU, AEM DFI in box still

how would i use something thats in a box still.. .. and when did i say i had a ported head? i thought you were done with the shit talking? all i ever do is ask questions.. your the one starting all this useless shit.. as you can see we all share our mods and what not here to help out the other guy wanting to do the same thing.. if all your looking for is someone to start a lil pissing match with.. go do it else where.. and you won't even meet half way from where you hang out.. so i'm not going to bother driving all the way up there.. it seems as if your the one wanting a race more then me.. so you should get your ass down here

I like how you change the subject and make me look like the bad guy. I'm willing to drive down where you race I know where it is I just don't want to post the location online. Everytime I want to setup a match your car isn't ready. I just asked a few ques.?
You built the bottom end but didn't port it?
You got a spoon ecu, what happen to the hondata u had?
Now you have a aem dfi so you went through 3 ecu's and haven't even drove your car yet?

I'm not talking I'm just wondering.
And like I said when your ready I will go south no prob...

and porting the head dosn't really have shit to do with building the engine.. the block and head are built.. and i didn't want to waste my money on porting a head until i have a new intake manifold and throttle body
