How much work does it take to remove the transmission and send it out?

I would imagine a few hundred to get a shop to do it?

They can fabricate it to make it work though right?

I read somewhere that they would essentialyl take your 5AT and make it a 4AT with all their trimmings.

well they can do a one off of the 5at trannsmission, but it will be $4500+ and not part of the group buy.

hey, i have a 97 3.0 with 118k and my tranny is fine(knock on wood) and i drive it pretty hard...

but i might be interested because this isn't the first i have heard of these tranny's being bad...but i would also like to go for the 6 speed swap i think we should do a group buy for that!

Ive heard from several different people that the accord v6 tranny and our CL trannys are just a little different and that Dr. Evil wouldnt do ours for some reason? Has all of that been worked out.......has anyone else heard of this? I think it had something to do with the mounts idk.

It's been worked out, u just have to send em your tranny and tell em it's from a 3.0 CL they'll know what to do

parts for that aren't super expensive, what you should do is find a good mechanic to do the swap cause the labor will b killer

I want to bust a nut every time I see one of those S/Cs. I want that so bad, I just don't have the cash to do it. Some day, after the cars are both paid off, oh yeah... that's next year.
