Just finished painting the engine bay of my car. Thanks Chris for the links and advice! Im going to get a black or grey (something that matches the IM) CAI with blue housings and tubes and also paint the strut bar I think. Any advice and you think I should keep the 2 tone with black acura logo pannel and black I masked off behind the spark plug wires? Give me your criticism on the color scheme and sorry for blurry pics, they were taken at night in my garage and it was fogged out. Look in my profile pics because I have not made a photobucket to upload yet.
nice engine bay TopGun
just finished up the blue clock mod, cut the wire too to prevent it from dimming. also just installed blue LEDs in the glove box, doors, and trunk. put in the order earlier for cool white LEDs for the dome and map lights. next, blue LEDs for the gauges.

The relay is easy as shit, and they're super loud, you'll love them mitch
I'm currently balls deep in way too many mods at once... but that's usual for this time of year

meh, appearance I'd say 50% or so, I have been doing more stuff in the engine bay and interior lately. Next couple weeks will be interesting, seeing how far I can get before the meet, just got a few deliveries in. Major engine work is still a year or so out, which is why I don't talk about it, cuz it's in the planning phase

i was searching the threads and could only find certain info on the install
so i have a few questions
so the relay i put in is gonna be behind the radio on the left... i'll try and figure that out when i get there i guess
do i have to run new wires to the horns or somehow splice the factory ones and connect them? ...cuz it doesn't look like the connectors are gonna be the same
and i am a pretty big n00b when it comes to wiring and stuff, so any help on this would be great

U just have to snip the wires and strip them and wrap the the wires and tape them off. I could post up which wire is which if u want
i hate not knowing what i'm doing on these kinds of things
but i can usually follow instructions well
and whenever you get a chance, prolly won't have enough time for a week or so anyways
thanks again for the help

Here's what I did last night before helping my buddy rewire his system. I bought a new dual chamber ported box from audioenhancers, but the baskets around the 100 oz magnets are so big they don't fit in any normal 12 port. I bought this box hoping they would fit but ended up having to modify the sub holes on the box to get the subs to sit flush. Here is how the sub was sitting in the new box, obviously they don't fit note the gap.

Had to dremel out the ports to widen them with a sanding block attachment

Made sure to keep vaccuuming up all the dust between passes and wore a respirator

Got them to sit flush

Took about 20-30 mins per side, because i took my time and kept stopping to shopvac up the dust to prevent it from getting anywhere near the voice coils. Now I can put the box in and go deaf

Ugh, no. MDF dust is NASTY. After about 15 mins my throat was raw and dried out, I had to gargle water to feel even slightly better. Went to the breathing help after that, no point in having it if you don't use it
lol man i know.. doing that shit for circuit shitty was terrible, all of the boxes we used to order from MTX seemed to be like 1/4 too small.. you learned quick to put shit over our mouth/nose; else fall victim to hacking up a lung.
Also, what amp for those subs?
Weaksauce... I think I'm heading to the Maxxonics headquarters in a week and a half. They're having a huge car audio show up there + big time factory sales... Maybe I'll be able to afford a nice new amp for my new build... The build that keeps changing shape every couple days/weeks. I just need to get some money together and get a couple subs and a nice big amp, and go crazy. I can't decide if I want to do a 4th order, clamshell or IB setup... These decisions are the worst...
