Yeah 3.2 should be good, it will be louder with the slot ports guaranteed

Well after a phone cal to dd the guy said 4.5 is the optimum box size. But the site says 3-4.5. So I think I should be fine. I really would like to have her at 16 deep as I believe i could get my spare out then. But 18" deep would give me 3.5 cubes, so I wonder if the .2-.3 cubes would make a diff... Thoughts?

make it to the suggestion. If they say 4.5, then do everything you can to build it to 4.5... I'll tell you this: If your box is 20" deep and 16" high, you can get your spare out... It's a pain in the a$$, but it's possible... That's the way I had my box for awhile, and it worked, although it is a pretty big hassle to get the spare out...

Looks pretty good except for that license plate... I'd work on that first... But since you seem to be going with a blacked out theme, blackhouse... I wouldn't tint my headlights unless you've got HID's and even then only if you use 55w 5000k's so you get the absolute most light output...

yea i got 35w 6000k HID's, so i probably won't do it, but i will blackhouse. Im thinking of relocating my license plate, but i dont know if it would look good, or how much it is. thanks.

my current projects are as follows

find a good paint job place to do my kit in the bay area that isnt looking to rob me blind.
fix my damn seat cause the back part came off...
strip my cars insides cause the weather is getting nice and i want to do my interior
replace my egr (yea its like a 5 minute job but i have NO time what so ever)

thats a peek at my long ass list. im going to the philippines this summer and from what ive heard, theres a place that sells some nice stuff for our cars (waiting for verification) in manila. if so, imma try to hop on that...but im probably not gonna be able to.

Yea thats what i figured but my box is 16.5 high. If it was 16 she would go in easy. But that extra 1/2" that i needed for sub back messed it all up. I am trying to decide between 16 deep or 18 deep. That way i can get the box in and out easy, and swap it around front to back. If i do 16 deep it's 3.2 cubes tuned at 34 with a 3" wide port. Now if I do 18 deep I can do either a 3.5"(tuned at 33.8 with 3.66 cubes)or a 4 " port(tuned at 36.4,with 3.5 cubes). Which would you go with? I don't wanna go beyond 18" deep. Well it's off to work and since i just lost my friggin pda i cant get net access at work man i need to get a new sprint phone.

Ok well the box is done AGAIN..... I cut her down 4 inches in epth, and gave it a 3.5" port now has 3.66 cubes 33.8 tuning(a little higher after bracing. and 52.5 inches of port. Waiting on the liquid nail to dry and then will throw her in the trunk. Btw it fits in really easy now,im gonna try both front then both rear to see which is louder. Will post pics when all said and done. And I still gotta rhino line the port and back panel I had to cut but for now it's a o tay

You should paint semi gloss black on the face and graphite in the inner part like Nate. Wouldn't be as unique since he already did it but it looks badass.

yea does look cool but gonna stick with one color. I had thought about powder coating them but don't think they will fit in my oven. the cars white. I think black looks killer but maybe played out that's why I'm considering graphite. had thought of white but not on the 3.0 wheels

Black painted stockies is really starting to get played out for sure. Not just on the forum but on alot of civics, preludes, and tegs that I see that people can't afford new wheels/tires. That shouldn't affect your judgement on if it looks good or not. Heck, black 10 spoke rims with chrome lip has been played out for a while but I'm still getting a set as soon as possible because it's what I want and what I have waned. What I'm trying to say is that you shoud go with what you want. Just don't go to the other extreme and put on "brake vents" "double wings" or "daltons" or whatever their called.

just searched for that pic i found before of the white cl with the white painted 3.0cl stockies
here's the link for the thread
https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-cl-photograph-gallery-57/stock-97-cl-wheels-have-hidden-beauty-pics-488361/
it is an older member who painted the wheels for his daughter's cl. white on white, with the same stock wheels as you have.
i personally think it looks pretty good, especially if the car had a drop. but you can make your own opinions.
and i've stopped posting in this thread, but i thought this was important because i have mentioned this pic more than once in other places as well.

i forgot about that guy, he was a great knowledge base. Too bad he doesn't come around anymore. Wow, this thread went from a project thread, to a retro thread, to a speaker box thread, to a wheel painting thread

Current PROJECT I'm working on is piecing together my 5 lug swap. kinda bummed about the extra weight but the braking power and endless wheel options sounds good to me!

the red cl was his and the white one was his daughter's. Just click the link i provided before to see
i think with the white wheels it makes the car look so damn clean, and if lowered, it would make the car look so sick.
and the white on white style is what i want for my next car.

back to projects though:
gonna see if i can get some paint to paintmatch my stockies before i put them on for the summer, if i have time
also gonna try and get some extra tailights to try out some tinting on them to see how i like it.
and then probably tint my corners if the tailights work out good

if you wanna keep the plate where it is just tighten the screw on the right to even it out. as far as relocating it, i put mine on the bottom grill, and it cost as much as 2 zip ties cost. very easy, looks good IMO.
