Coil Overs vs. New Springs
I am looking to get my car lowered but not sure which way I should go about it. I have ridden in a buddy's car who has coil-overs and it rides really rough, but he also has it lowered quite alot. I was wondering if I where to just get new springs if that would make it not ride as rough as compared to getting coil-overs. I only wana drop it about 1.5" or so.
What do you guys suggest? coil-overs or new springs? Which brand is the best in your opinion?

IMO i would go with the real coilovers they are a lot better than just springs. if u just get some springs ur struts will start to die out on u and u will need to get new struts. either way its cool. all the pros use real coilovers.

If you've got the ends then get a full on kit. $1000-2500
Or do what most others have done and get springs and some struts. Eibach makes a kit for the cL and there are some aftermarket performance struts available as well. $500-600

i dunno if tien makes them for our car, but those are nice and tanabe has some nice ones. they range from 1k-2k depending on which on u want. the tanabe doesn't need a camber kit i think.

Yajarobi420 - you have ground control coil-overs? do you like those? that is what my friend has. Also if I where to drop it like 1.5" would I need to put cambers on my car?

whats wrong with a pair of sportlines or a prokit, from eibach...
If your going to use cheap coilover your gonna get a shit ride. Many of us just use regular drop springs, they ride very well.

they are ok. but not to safe. if ur gonna just get some adjustable coilovers u should go with skunk2 or arospeed. but if u have the money for real coilovers i think u should go with those they are 10times better then what i have or ur friend has.

Apex WS full coilovers are good. I might spend around a grand which is good compared to the springs and shocks combination which are about 700 bucks. Also progress makes coilovers for a good price but i dont know about how they ride.
