Closing Trunk Locks doors

Closing Trunk Locks doors

on my 97 3.0cl, when i unluck doors, then pop trunk, after i close the trunk, the doors to the car lock - is the oem system also supposed to lock the car doors automatically after a certain time period?

yes .. if u unlock the doors (either pop the trunk or not) and not open the doors after unlocking them for i think 10 or 20 sec's, security locks the doors automatically ... pimp option if u ask me !

The doors re-lock after 30 seconds if u don't open them

so i wonder why they didnt also include the option that the doors lock automatically after you leave your car

i guess its b/c if you had your keys in the car ud be screwed and when you open and close the trunk it assumes you still have the keys.........idk?

when i bought my car, previous owner put after market alarm system called "checkmate". it was the ghetto-est alarm system i ever touched. it also had an option that locks the door automatically when u leave ur car unlocked for about 60sec. i had to use spare key like 2times, and also when ur working on your car u have to leave ur door open so it doesnt lock ur car automatically and start your alarm. it was so annoying.

on my other car i have a viper alarm, if you take the keys out, and close the doors, the doors will lock, if the keys are in the ignition and you close the doors, they wont lock, woulda been nice if acura would have included that along with the trunk lock feature

but what ifyou reach for something, drop ur keys and didn't know, go inside and your door locks. that would be like babyloc said "annoying"
