Check Engine light Blinking
Does anyone know what the problem is when your check engine light is blinking? I've had it come one, but never blink...any ideas?

Check your oxygen sensors. Those are the reason to why your check engine light comes on. Maybe you need new ones, maybe your cat is going out, maybe your getting too much fuel, or too little, could be anything, but you oxygen sensors detect that stuff, and cause your light to come on. How many miles does your car have?......

its running fine...the last when the light came on, I took it to the dealership, where they told me a cylinder had some deposit run thru it and stop functioning But it seemed fine then running off 5...so it seems fine now. But after having two trannys replaced, I've come to accept having engine problems...how shitty does that sound...

check to see if there is anything stuck under your e-brake handle thingy.. if a coin or something got jammed there, your handle might just be on top of it.. thus blinking brake light everytime u hit a bump on the road... does it blink when idle?

Go to a mechanic, for $25 bucks they can tell you what codes come up. If it is the oxygen sensor, remember you have TWO oxygen sensors, one in the front, one in the back. Check both. A new uni sensor is ~ 80 bucks, dealer will charge $250 for EACH...

The check engine light came come on for MANY reasons, one of them being bad O2 sensors.
You can do the "paper clip" check to see if it throws a code: http://home.insightbb.com/~niedejb/refs2.html
