sometimes when i try and start my car i have to turn the ignition 3-4 times before it will start. this only happens after say over night...not if i just run in the store and get something...then it starts right back up. but also when i leave it over night...my stereo (not stock) will be off. you know how usually the stereo comes back on at the spot you left it...well, no it doesn't unless again its just after i ran in and got something from the store or whatever....any ideas...i thought it might be the battery but the engine does turn over when i turn the ignition just takes a few trys to start.

Ignition switch - some Acuras have a recall on them. Give your VIN number to your dealer & have him look it up to see if it is in the recall.

Mine had an ignition switch recall....they changed it. Sounds like that is your problem as well.

 

i have a very similar problem but it is geting worse

 

Probably ignition switch, but also, if your gas tank is below 1/4 full, and can take 2-3 times to turn it over (fuel pump design).

 

oh that is what it is fuel pump mine has a hard time starting when tank is below 1/4th thanks dust ur the greatest!

 

what year/model did they re-call?
