I've used all kinds of different non-honda filters and my vtec always kicked in, that's bs

Yea i really didn't think it would make a difference either. I don't see why he the guy try to bullshit me out of like 3 extra dollars.

No more ideas on how to fix my problem? I've tried everything i could think of.

so you put the other solenoid and pressure switch on and hooked it all up and still doing the same thing?

is your oil pan dented? i know PimpCL23 had that problem and he was in limp mode for a week or so.

Yea i swaped the solenoid didnt make a difference. Ill check my oil pan when i get home from hell. (school)

Have you had a chance to check for codes? If you don't have a scanner, you can still see if there's any saved codes with a paperclip and pulling the light blue plug from under the passenger side dash.

no codes at all. Im changin my oil this weekend so ill check everything out. Ive just got tired of messing with it. I need to get back on it and get it workin right.

Changed my oil and filter today evrything went well. Still cant get it over 5000 though. While i had the car lifted whatever this is it looks wierd..need some help with this. oil pan wasnt dented either.

Believe that is a vent/overflow for the evap canister.

im really lost guys, ive tried everything suggested. If someone could take a picture of there vtec solenoid on a 97 2.2 id appreciate it.
