Boost Gauge to Replace Engine Temp- DIY?
Boost Gauge to Replace Engine Temp- DIY?
Hey guys. I've been thinking of replacing my engine temp gauge in the instrument with the boost gauge because I want to be able to look at it very quickly and I think it would be a cool sleeper look. I was wondering what I would have to do to make this work, or can it even work? Any help would be great guys. thx

Finding one to fit in there would be cool, but would need to be pretty small. Also, I wouldn't give up my temp gauge after my radiator cracked. But it's a cool mod idea, g'luck chica
well I'm going to be having some other temp gauges, and my sensor for the engine temp is broken right now anyways so I don't even use it lol. Does anyone know what size would fit there?
Here's a picture I found of Will's old set-up on his 2.3CL:
I'm not sure what size those guages are but they look like they fit in there nicely.
I also think it's a little ironic that you're covering up an engine temp guage with a guage that monitors a system that puts huge amounts of extra thermal stress on your engine. I know the stock temp guage and sensor are far from being accurate but you should really think about monitoring the under hood temperatures somehow if you're covering the stock guage.
Have you put any thought into ways of reducing under hood temps once your actually running boost?
