Attempt to install Regulator failed.... help..

Ok so today I attempted to install the regulator. Everything was going great. I took off the door panel unscrewed everything. Took out the regulator, and then I put the new one in. I forgot to screw in the bolts that connect the regulator to the window the first time and I thought thats the only reason why it wasn't working. So then I aligned the window with the regulator and i screwed them together. Then I tested it.... and it would only go down. When I tried to make the window go up it would make a slight budge like its going up then it would pause and not move. I know the regulator is not broken because its brand new and I also tested it to see if it moved up and down and it i did. My only guess is that the window is not aligned right and when it tries to go up its moving at an angle which causes it to stop. Any suggestions.. Please help I've been on this shit for like 6 hrs.... Thanks guys

When I did mine, my switch and reg broke. Actually, the first time the reg was brand new and it didnt even work. The motor was broken. So I had to take it back get a new one. Install it, then find that my switch was bad, then have to go to BlackAcks Bargain Basement and get a new switch. Blah. Fuck those windows.

well I'm not really sure if the switch it broken? cuz I plugged my reg in and the reg was going up and down. Its just that when i screw it with the window and i put everything together it doesnt move up. It like budges as if its going to, but then it stops. No crackling sounds like it sounds like when it broken

I went to take a look at it again. And I would think the regulator is dead... cuz it doesnt move the window upwards. but when i detach the regulator from the window and try it. It works fine.... Maybe doctory auto parts sent me a defective regulator? o_O

figured it out. The piece of crap regulator was made backwards. So now i you have to push down for the window to go up instead of up.

Sounds like it's backwards, or you have a wire crossed somewhere
