Jl/Bose head unit'

I am going to be buying a JL 10" sub +box, amp (not sure exact specs) and wires installed. First off, is $400.00 for all that a good deal? Second off, i want to keep my stock bose head unit. Is it safe and or possible? Thanks!

What kind of sub is it?

I got my 10W7 in the JL factory box for 500 bucks three years ago, i'm sure the prices have fallen since then. A W6 might be about that price which is a fantastic sub as well, same with W3's - Might want to look into getting a JL slash series amp, mines been driving the W7 buried with my spare tire and it never shuts off and it sounds like a great match.

Get the specs of the sub your are looking at.

Any JL sub is good, w3 and w6 are def good products. $400 installed isn't bad, but you'll need a line output convertor to use your stock setup.

Yeah, the stuff looks like its in mint condition. Its a good friend of mine who just needs the money badly. Ill get the exact name of all the stuff later today likley.

Im just worried because i still want to be able to use my stock head unit. Will the wires work with it and will ti harm anything at all? Im not trying to fool anyone here, i don't know anything about car audio.

Your gonna love it... I just got rid of my 2 12" JL w0 setup. I had them in a custom box that has been in my garage since I got the CL. They were too big for the CL's trunk. Anyways... JL's are awesome. Let us know how they sound.

Well they fit, but I drive back and forth from St. Louis to KC once a month and can't fit my clubs, clothes, and other stuff in there. It wasn't my decision... Wifey said either get rid of the subs or stop driving the Ack to KC. And I hate being without my car in my hometown.

Alright so here are the specs:

400 Watt JL Amp (4 something i can't remember what)

10" W3 JL

Custom Box

Is that a good deal for $400.00? I think he is throwing in the converter.

If he's throwing in the converter, wiring, amp, sub, box, and installing it, that's a real good deal

We are going to have to get it installed professionally, even though he could do it on his own. His wires are a little melted so im not going to risk it, ill just buy new stuff.

So let me get this straight, all i need are the wires to connect to the amp, then the sub hooks up to the amp and i am fine?
