The Flares Riveted on...pics

Well here they are. I will buy a test tire to see if I can fit 245's, or if I have to go with the 235's as planned. I know you guys enjoy clean looking cars, and mine is far from it. But I've always gone by, Function > Fashion. I'll paint the flares black this weekend.

lookin good so far. they seem to end kinda abruptly though. you better be able to fit 245s in that, otherwise it seems like too much effort for 235.

Ribbets are frog sounds, aren't they?

zo4000, I'll post better pics this weekend after I paint them, and get the test tire to throw on a rim and show you guys what it'll really look like. It is hard to say it looks good when they are green, lol.

are you gonna mold them to sit flush at the ends with the rest of the body? otherwise id have to agree that they end abruptly, but look like they'll function just fine

Actually I asked them not to mold them. I didn't want the mold look. They did however gave me the spare pieces left from the flares in case I changed my mind, which I highly doubt will happen.

Also, he didn't want to cut the bumpers were they bolt/clip on to the panel. That was the reason for stopping where he did.

Your going to lower the car about 1 inch more I hope.

you should have waited and put those things on

and painted the whole car at the same time.

I'll post pics of it out in the open sometime this weekend. I'm busy Friday and all day Saturday. So most likely I'll get around to painting and washing it this Sunday. I'll pick up the tire tomorrow, for a test fitment, drop it a little more on Sunday, and post pics for you guys.

Looks like it could be tight once done, but did i hear you right saying that its not going to get tapered off to become flush with the car? If its just going to stick out like it is then its going to look like a micro-machine or hot wheel. Must make it taper down to the car for the best look possible, but props to you for going thru with it.

Is that a bullet hole?

How much extra space did you get with the flares?

I'm not liking the look... I know you said function > style or w/e but come on...

I am also wondering why you had to get a shop to put those on... No offense because your car is amazing etc. but you had to paint them yourself... why did they have to do...

again... just my opinion on the look of the flares... everything else is beautiful...

Sick that looks aggresive as hell.

I wish he would have gone all the way down the bumper though I'm sure it'll look better with the works

I hate the cutoff. I wish they went all the way down and molded would be a lot sicker. But whatever, thats my opinion.
