The end of the month is fine, but remember. It's first come first serve. So I suggest you pre-order your hood, because I'll only be getting 20 of these in! After that the price will be higher and it will be another 6 weeks or more before the hood is made.

By the way, I checked with Seibon after the price started to fluctuate with 97Silver2.2CL and Seibon says that they are not doing any group buys. So there never was an arrangement

Straight from email response

We are not doing any group buys at this current time.

We personally know SEIBON and the owner. There was never an arrangement that went through for a group buy. All we did was ask the owner what the price would be to produce the hood, and VIS gave us a better deal. Please don't associate anything that 97silver2.2CL did. If anyone on this forum is dealing with 97silver2.2CL, that is fine. You may keep on dealing with him, as I'm supplying him with the hoods at the same price. Thank you.

Shipping is the same. It is strictly business relationship. I just got back from VIS and sealed the deal. I'm going to scan the invoice when I get home so I can scan it. We dont have a scanner at the office!

hey bro, you will not get burned, I will not take off with your money and run. I have a business to protect. Go to my web site, everything shows I'm Legit. I'm a member of the better business bureau, my site is secured and verified. Check it out. carbon fiber products

Hey everyone, here's the invoice!!!!!!!! Just closed the deal today! Check it out...again I suggest everyone pre-order, once these 20 are gone. They're gone!!! Also, the prices will be higher, over $500 by the time the next batch of hoods come. I suggest you jump on this!

OFFICIAL VIS INVOICE:

NOTE: Novare Industries is the company providing me with the hoods, they're a wholesale company.

It says 96-99, that was a mistake by VIS. But don't worry. I'm buying a brand new hood from Acura on monday, and whatever I give them is what the mold is going to be made out of!

We are exlcusive to this hood, no one else can sell it to the public, not even VIS.

Big question: will the 97-99 grilles fit inside the carbon fiber hoods?

It is going to be OEM SPEC. everything will fit. VIS does not make products that will ruin their reputation.

Guys!

I have taken the time to check Carlo and his company out. They are FOR REAL. What he says is LEGIT. The hoods are being manufactured once the orders have been completed and everyone will get what they paid for.
I am not sure why the sudden tone of mistrust came into this thread, but i am here to PUT THOSE THOUGHTS TO REST. We would not have taken Carlo on as an "Official Vendor" without having ensured he's not out to rip our members off.
I look forward to seeing the pics of all your hoods come August!

Soo $460 now...then $87 for ground shipping later. (Will you just contact us in a month when your ready to get the shipping $ when the hoods are finished?)

Alright, Im definitly down. Whats the best way to pay? Paypal? Moneyorder?
(so about the deadline, I mean you said we had extra time, but you didnt, meaning if we still dont get 20 ppl buy ?when? then the GB wont work or go through??

(Itzcarloo: If you want to PM me, we can discuss payment and everything outside of this thread)

1. AIM=itzcarlooo 1st best way to reach me
2. during business hours 877.568.7664 (this # doesn't work all the time, since i'm on a crappy vonage phone plan),
3. My cell 951.454.8081 (2nd best way to reach me)
4. Post here
5. Message me on the forum

Any commercial address like a store, a warehouse, the job you work at, etc. It's cheaper to send to a business address, because the hood is traveling by freight and it cost the trucking companies extra to go to a resdiential. It cost extra, because they have to transfer it to a smaller truck, because the big rigs aren't meant to be in a residential area.

Everyone has as much time as they want, there is no longer a deadline since the hoods are already in production. The only deadline is on yourself, because whoever pre-orders their hood is guaranteed a hood! thanks! I would prefer credit card or you may use paypal if you prefer. Thanks.

Just to let everyone know, for about 3-5 months there will be only 20 people with these hoods. You'll be one of the first people to own a carbon fiber hood for a CL made by VIS racing, and there will only be 20 of these in the world!

The hoods on ebay are priced at $348 +150 flat rate shipping to the lower 48 states only. Shipping is where they make the money. If you compare my shipping quotes to theirs, mine is a lot lower! So the total is $498 with shipping. Also, these hoods are mass produced already, so the wholesale price on these is a lot cheaper then the CL 97-99 hoods. The CL 97-99 hoods were made to custom order and are not part of the VIS mass production line. If you have anymore questions, please don't hestitate to ask. Thanks! -carlo
