Same price, I didn't go through Carlos since I don't know him and I really don't have anywhere to have it shipped to , so I had my contact who I have dealt with for years and he is tight with VIS and he will deliver the hood to my house whenever I want him to.

 

 

I don't mind Platano getting the hood, what I do mind is that VIS did not follow the contract, so when my guy gets back from vacation next wednesday, vis is gonna hear it from us!! I will keep everyone updated, until then all we can do is wait =). So how much is gas in florida? Last time I checked it was $2.89 here for regular...=/

Let's be realistic say you are making these hoods and you already know you are making 20 and a guy you have dealt with for over a decade calls and says he needs 2 more made are you gonna say no?
1. that's $920 bucks gone if they say no and
2. bad customer relations.

It's business you can't burn any bridges. Exclusive or not the hoods will probably hit the market anyway since there are so many 1st Gen Cl's on the streets.

 

can you say legal contract? If what you say is true, the proverbial shit could hit the fan for a violation of contract...

Now, I dont know if it'll go that far, but it is a possibilty, whether or not this guys' been your friend for ten years.

Exactly...I DO say VIS is guilty. I mean I dont know all the details, but it just dosnt seem right for Carlo to do all of this work, working with VIS to do a GB for us, paying for the new hood for the mold, and being told/via legal contract that these 20 hoods are exclusive....what they seem to be doing is making extra to sell....I mean sure, I understand Platanos argument about how u dont burn bridges, but if I was @ VIS...i would of said....umm leagally under contract, go through Carlo or come find back in 3 months and we'll start making more...

as long as i get my hood im fine. wether its 22 or 100 ive been wanting a cf hood for the longest time and now im hopefully gonna get one. i know there's a whole bunch of legal shit but im more worried about getting that hood. We all payed our for this, i mean 460 is kind of a lot of money to me. I agree tho that VIS is for going behind carlos back and i think they should get effed up for it but i hope i didnt lose money on this one.

I am a former AT&T Wireless CSR (Now Cingular CSR) but when NEC made the 525 EXCLUSIVE to AT&T, but then sold it to T-Mobile, Why do you think NEC doesnt make cell phones anymore? Humm...VIS is a BIG Company. VIS recently bought WingsWest...

Anyone thinkin what im thinkin??? VIS is (probably) at fault. Carlo uses this at his advantage to create more business for him by getting VIS to produce a CF trunk/other CF parts AND provide a GB for WW front and rear lips.

I mean i know VIS owns WW, but its ran as a seperate company, but still....

Just imagine is all of the sudden, we had CF parts being made for out cars, GB's for the WW front and rear lips...that shit would be crazy and Carlo would boost up with business. Ohhh that'd be kickass!

 

All that matter is that we all get our hoods when they are done before it snows

 

yea.....I donno about some of you, but winter is approaching quick. It will be Dec. before we know it. (BTW: screw you all FL and CA that dont have to worry about snow...lol) I've got to get my hood, finish this claim with insurance so i can order my new wheels, then get the wheel custom painted, and get everything thrown on the car so i can enjoy them for maybe a month before everything has to come back off for the winter time...

 

Winter's coming fast Let it come though, my list of winter projects is getting longer by the day, but like cj said, I'd like to enjoy some of this b4 i have to take it off for winter.

if you're getting it at the same time we are, I think it sucks because it sort of takes aweay from the exclusivity of the deal. Besides, if you payed the same price for it that you would have for Carlooo then why didnt you just get it through him...
