My first problem!
My first problem!
Well did my full maintenance schedule today..
After testing all went dandy and etc..
I went for a night trip and suddenly;
1.- My door lock (Driver and Passenger) don't work.. The switch itself does nothing but keyfob will unlock and lock the doors like normally do.
2.- My tailgate cant be opened by the keyfob or the handle itself, I have to open it from the emergency latch from inside.
3.- The car will lock but there is no confirmation beep.
4.- There is no seat position memory (buttons don't work at all).
Any clues guys?

Cant say the status of the battery crabman...
I am looking into checking the fuses but I am finding several posts regarding the washer motor fuse and etc..
What do works: Steering Tilt, Seat Motors, Locking Actuators (Only with Keyfob)...
What doesn't work: Side Mirror Controls, Driver and Passenger locks, Tailgate switch.
This is specially exasperating since everything was working OK just this morning...
I cant open my tailgate like at all!! I need to open it from the emergency lever inside, Seems the lock is stuck on lock so the outside lever doesn't work...

What do you mean by "full maintenance schedule"? Did you touch anything electrical?
Almost seems like a module somewhere got disconnected, like how all the window switches stop working if the master control unit on the driver door is unplugged.

Did:
Spark plug change
Engine oil/filter change
Transfer fluid change
ATF change
I didn't touch anything electrical besides the coil packs and I am pretty sure everything was working ok after I did all that..
What It did happen is that the driver door pressure switch popped off randomly so I had to put it back on, It now works ok.

Just to add.. All lock actuators do work with keyfob so there aren't any possible seized actuators.. I can lock and unlock the car normally with the keyfob but I wont get the confirmation beep.
Don't suppose you have a wiring diagram to see if all the "bad" things have a common point somewhere?
My initial thought is that the tailgate seems too far away from the mirror and locks to be common, but then I'm not terribly familiar with the layout of your car. I'd guess though, that there is a tailgate button somewhere on the driver side, near the door, like my wagon. So that makes me wonder if it isn't something like I initially mentioned... Some module in the door that happened to come loose?
Seems a little bit of a stretch though, since the fob works for the locks and that *should* go through the same module as the door controls.
Sorry that this isn't much help.

Yep I went through all the Keyless Memory Setting so I should hear the "beep" by hitting the lock button twice (Like most Acuras).
Its already too dark So I didn't start to disassembly the door panel to check stuff (I don't have a garage) tomorrow will be diagnosis day to the door panel but I am not too eager to disassembly a car that I don't even have a full week with it.. I think stealership will take ma money on this one.

Soo I went to a Honda dealer (Since Acura dealers like to $$$$ for a fart)..
They said my tailgate locking mechanism has failed??
Now I am baffled on how that could lead to all my locking buttons to not work or DPMS or Rear view mirrors...

The thing is crabman... The locks are linked to the seat motor system and that works..
If I open the trunk with the emergency latch and press the auto tailgate button that works! but then I cant open it again unless I release the emergency latch again.
The washer fluid motor fuse is ok since I can spray it..
I don't understand why the MDX forum is so dead considering the year of the car, even the other forums (mdxers.org) has been pretty slow and I am not expecting +200 responses by the minute... A lot of views in a day but not a single input from an actual MDX owner.
Even the 2G TL-S forums sees more action in a day and that is a +12 year old car.
I called my local Acura Dealer and made an Appointment... they send me to nov 27!!! That's going to be a fun wait.

EXACTLY! why if I press the auto tail gate button once opened it closes ok? the auto close mechanism works since the tailgate fully closes and the MID doesn't show the tailgate is open either..
Even if I gave them the benefit of the doubt and say: Yeah the tailgate locking mechanism is F°.... Why the DPMS, Locking Buttons and Rear view mirrors don't work??? Also.. Am I the only one with this particular failure?? Seems like a big deal to be just one person.

Thanks! the car is golden... I cant believe I don't even have a week with it and a stupid electrical issue is staining an otherwise fine purchase.
Nobody shared the service manual either like the 2G TL-S.... If I had that at least I could have a starting point to diagnose. I think I will need to buy it this time.

Another development:
My fuel gas cover doesn't open either!!! I went to recharge and I could not open the darn thing by the button on the door!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thankfully I read the owners manual and knew about the emergency latch on the rear fuse box.... Jesus I need to fix this issue ASAP.

I just check every single fuse in the car... Every single one of them is fine
Called another Acura rep and he told me my main driver lock mechanism could be faulty.... I just can't understand how a lock is tied to so many sub-systems..

Today I lost all my power windows... Following the recommendation of a member in midxers.org I wiggled the Driver door Sub Harness and I recovered the windows.. Seems he was right, tomorrow I'll order the sub harness and will make a DIY to add here for future reference.
I hope all my issues will only cost 22 bucks.

Sub"d for updates.
Also, usually if you don't get the confirmation beep, it indicates the circuit is open. Is the tailgate fully closing? Locking?
We had a door lock actuator fail on us and we lost the beep until we had it replaced. I can't remember if it beeped if we manually locked that door.

My tailgate is fully stuck on lock.. I can't open it by any other means than by the emergency latch.
So far I lost:
1.- Rear view mirrors
2.- Both electric lock switches
3.- DPMS
4.- Tailgate switch // Tailgate won't open by the outside lever or FOB.
5.- Gas cap switch
Almost:
6.- Power windows and windows lock button
What works:
1.- All doors locks (I can fully close/open all doors with the FOB but Alarm won't arm).
2.- Seat motors
3.- Steering tilt
Seems all of that can be fixed by the sub harness replacement if the member on MDXers.org is right.. He also had a similar problem and got fixed by that.
