Met up with Scott this morning. Had breakfast together in Pasadena and went up to ACH to drive and take some pics.

First time messing with a dslr and Lightroom in the past 5 years, I think. Just used Scott's Nikon camera with its kit lens.

The day was SOOOOO nice. Perfect SoCal weather.

Car is looking great!
Love the height.

Side skirts... I don't know. I am just not sure about it since a year.
Don't want them to hide the flow of the body, I might get them this summer but mine is black anyway...
If you paint it white and leave the bottom lips black, might be noticable better may be.. I don't know

I like the shot from front-end.

Scott and I traded cars for the downhill.

Some thoughts on his 335 vs my BRZ:

- Power: Duh. Instant torque at will. So much power.
- Handling: Feels planted but heavy. More body roll. Steering feel is a little numb. He has PSS tires and I have RS3s.
- Brakes: He has the stock rotors and pads. Felt a little mushy and got a little heated after 20 minutes of downhill fairly spirited driving.
- Seats: I didn't realize how slippery the leather seats are. My stock seats have leather and alcantara mixed in, thus it keeps me in place even at the track. His leather was nice, but I couldn't really seat comfy on the turns.

Did I mention its power? It's going to be so much better when he tune it later!

I like the black and white rice panda theme. Trying to find someone who has the same wheels in black or gunmetal to trade. haha

The sideskirts and rear spats will make my car look something like this:

Can't plastidip since I track my car.. the brakes get hot and it cooks the plastidip on the wheels. haha

The only way is to trade with someone else.

Visited a local FT86 forum member to get the STi sideskirts on. Took about 1.5 hours. Absolutely the look.

I'll be adding the STi rear spats to complete the look.

That member's BRZ was tuned and had Tomei UEL/Front pipe/Over pipe/Perrin CBE. He said his car pulled around 200whp. He gave me a ride around the block and HOLY CRAP it was so much faster.... I got so excited during the run. It sounded like a proper Subaru boxer engine car.

Not sure why but his car felt as fast as the supercharged one that I had got to be in before. Probably because that SC-ed one was an automatic? This one actually gave me a good push to the seat when it upshifted at 8K RPM. Yes, the tune pushes the peak RPM all the way up to 8K.

Oh by the way... he actually gave me a gift.

He said he bought this Boomerang DRL Always-on module from this vendor a month ago, and for some reason, they sent him two units instead of one...

So he just installed it for me. haha

Just love it.

Thanks guys!

I need to get the rear spats to complete the lip kit. That will certainly make it look more "finished".

any clean black cars will look good.... the problem is to keep it clean.

My 03 G37C was black, loved the color when washed and waxed (5 hours job) but it only lasted about 2 days. So it did not look good 99% of the time.

I have been in love with those wheels since the moment I saw them last year when I owned previous S2000. Too bad they're too aggressive for me!

Goddamit that's exactly what I say too Jeremy
We might be brothers

What are those Password side and front splitters on that BRZ?

Kimchi, what's your tire specs? Was it 17x9 +35 with 245/40?

Yeah, those are the password front and side splitters. They look good.

Yes, my set up is 17x9 +35 with 245/40/17 Hankook RS3s.

I will be upgrading to those Enkei RS05RR in 18's for sure later. I'm in with those. It's perfect for our cars.

Thanks guys. Loving the Valenti tails. They make the rear end so much more aggressive, especially at night.

Harry, I want the GT wing. But that will be one of the last ones for this car. It changes the handling characteristics entirely. And I'm one of the few people who actually like that stock spoiler.

EDIT: this is the one that I want. Vortex GT wing. I think it's a 1600mm one that attaches to the side edges of the trunk.
