Yes and no, I do get a great deal on the Comp stuff, but I also love the power they make. When comparing my DC2 to a couple of local guys with Precision 62's on their cars... I have a much more torque happy car (I made 450tq on ~22lbs, they don't even come close to those torque #'s til they're spinning 30-33psi).

The DC2 (one of my favorite cars/chassis ever BTW) is it a B series?

Is the torque based on the sizing of your turbo vs. theirs? Or are we talking turbos being equivalent size?

I am just asking for my own knowledge.

My wife has a turbo subaru forester which is pretty cool. It runs much higher boost, but it has a much smaller turbo, which makes sense.

Equivalent turbos, both cars are 62mm turbos. I was comparing a friend's plot on 36psi vs my 22psi pull, and I make 450tq @ 6200 rpm, he's only at like 330-350, he finally made over 400tq after 7k rpm. Obviously he makes more power after the fact (he made like 730whp @ 36psi) as I'm not spinning mine up to those boost levels.

And this is comp turbos? Comp Turbo | Designing the Best Performance Turbochargers | Top Turbocharger Manufacturers ?

Edit: I just seen, they have an oil less turbo setup? WTH man??? I bet that is sweet.

Question, do you do any other motors besides K series?

After my car was parked for 4 months, I got a daily driver. An 02 RS. I want to pick up a EJ2x engine and swap it in, make it a little mad max mobile. Rough around the edges.

So maybe in two years I'll be ready for that step...

That's them.

I work on & tune all kinds of stuff -- I just don't eTune the large majority of platforms I can tune. Still eyeballing getting 2 more pods so we can have an AWD pack.

@VIT

Is it better or worse to tune during the winter... my initial reaction seems to think worse. But if you tune during winter you basically have your MAX boost condition so that you're never gunna be running lean.. but maybe there is more to it?

I ask because I feel like I won't get all my shit together until like the dead of winter.

Vit,

question, what do you think about turning the threads on the WG shaft? I wonder if the spring, which is 6 psi is not holding the WG closed and that's why boost is falling off in the upper RPMs??

Makes very little difference, the ECU has comps for all that, and they can be adjusted. Worst case scenario to date... I had to tweak the compensations a couple percent or touch up the fuel map when moving from weather extremes (think Canada/Alaska season change).

Great to hear! Gettin the upgraded clutch assembly in the coming week, then installed soon after. In between clutch upgrade hopefully I can figure out the wiring for my Wideband to ECU... then finally the aftercooler and tune. So probs around November timing I can buy a tune from you and we can put some numbers on the board for SC + aftercooled CU2.

And WOW they have done added Traction control tab with an enormous amount of user input control. I think that only 09-10 TSX is applicable at the moment though

ANDD for those wondering... it looks like there were some changes made to the base Calibration as well. I compared 2009-2010 MT to 2011-2014 MT calibration. Here are the results.

Traction control? That requires the separate Hondata traction control module though right?

Yeah it does, but I think previously it was not offered at all for our TSX.

This is new too..

I'm still tuning with Vit.

I have been keeping an eye on the traction control piece.

It intrigues me.

thanks for all the screens/info Joe. I suspect this post was to get me thinking about getting Vit tuned and not relying on the LARGE number of base maps I can try

I suspect it's just 1 map provided for 5AT 11+ as well? I'm curious if I can run some of the 09-10 maps posted in this thread on my 13.

yeah it's one map for A/T as well.

I'm not gunna put the time in to figure out the differences between the maps lol but you could download the software and go through it and see what the exact changes are and determine if an 09 tune from someone would be safe.

Do we have some sort of file repository for all these CU2 flash pro calibrations?
I went through this thread and it just seems so scattered out.

Not that I am aware of.

I offered up my N/A tune.

The turbo I would not offer up, as I don't think anybody else will be going 7670.

You are worth it Utah. I say go for it. I've been slowly adding turns to the IWG preload, at 6mm right now, and the boost definitely goes up.

It is finally holding like 8.1psi at 7500, but you tend to hit like 10 psi of boost at like 4k RPM.

Question - could you fab up the brackets for the torque dampener?

I hit Axion up on FB about mounts or a torque dampener as other vendors don't see a demand for the product.

Another question, which would you recommend for valve cover gasket replacement? Felpro or OEM?

I asked DimeFeng to upload his calibration to Hondata.. he didn't do it. There is a repository within FP manager, and I would like everyone who is willing to upload calibrations to do it there. That way the calibrations aren't scattered around this thread, and are actually in a useful place that everyone can find and use.

Starting a engine mount and torque damper thread (JOE is getting pissed on the non flashpro stuff on his thread)
