Here the rear shock access cover is removed and we are looking at the top nuts holding the rear shock in place. The 2 outer nuts with orange paint on them get removed. I needed a breaker bar to free these up but it was a snap. I also went back and re-torqued these after a week of driving, they did not feel loose but better safe than sorry.
A second person is needed to pri down on the suspension while the shock assemblies are removed & installed. The second person will also be needed to hold the shock assembly up inside the towers while the first person threads on the upper nuts. The process is really very easy and is a hell of a lot cheaper than the $780 the dealer wanted to do the work.
