Lease a ZDX-S now or wait
Hi everyone, I am planning to lease a ZDX type S in the next few days. The lease deals are really attractive here in CA, although not anywhere as attractive is they are for the regular ZDX. It does see, however, that many dealers still have a bunch of type S on the lot and I am wondering if anyone here thinks Acura will offer even more incentives on August making the deal more on par with the current non type S offers. Any thoughts? Thank you!
I would wait since MY26 will arrive soon. There should be power bump and efficiency improvement from the upgraded P9C rear motor already on MY25 Lyriq. There is everywhere lane centering from updated Super Cruise. There is enhanced auto-park, where the system uses video feeds in addition to ultrasound sensors for improved detection. I suspect the infotainment will see hardware upgrade, but nothing to prove that.
If you are fine without the latest tech, like you said, the clearance deal on those remaining MY24 Type-S is/will be sweet.

I don't like leasing cars but it was the only way we could qualify for the $7.5k rebate. And that is probably going away in 2026. So if you are in the market of an EV, get one now. Also, I expect batteries to improve a lot over the next 3-5 years or so. Hence, another reason to lease a car so you can get a new one when the lease is up. Then you can purchase it instead of leasing. That's my take on it... And yes, the 500hp on the ZDX seems low compared to the 1000+ HP on all those other EVs. But for any practical purposes, the 500HP do the job.

The $7,500 credit goes away this September! Move fast. I would absolutely lease now. 2 or 3 year.
The effective monthly payment would be $555 plus tax. What is the payment once TTL is added?
I got a Type S at the end of March for $615/mo for 36/10k, first month payment down. All taxes and fees were capitalized. This is in VA, which does not have a friendly tax schedule on leases.
The Type S leases better at 36 months, so I'd ask for a full print out of both 24 and 36 month options, including TTL. I also wouldn't put anything more than first months payment down on a lease, but maybe that's just me.
As far as additional incentives from Acura... maybe? Losing the EV credit will hurt them, so they'll need to do something to counter it. There will likely be dealer cash from Acura, but the dealer is looking to maximize profit, so they're not in a rush to pass that to you. It's hard to see the future though.
It's only July 19th. If you can wait, hit them with what you want to pay and the terms you want on the 29th and see if they flinch. They most likely will, especially if inventory is unchanged.

This dealer has their remaining 2 ZDXs marked down ~$25k. If true that is pretty good deal:
