Alright guys, instead of coming to the meet yesterday I was working on my own little project. Me and my buddy's second detail is now complete. The subject is a 2006 e46 m3. We started on Saturday around 12, went until about 11. I had to work the next day from 7-4. Headed straight to detailing after work and we finished at 11. Total time spent on the detail itself, 18 hours. Enjoy the read:

@Myron - Did you solder the resistor on and install the switchbacks? Haha please save the extra resistor for me

@Sanjay - Damn you'll be out of comission for that long? Will we be able to install the DRL kit and switchbacks when I get back or wait until you can start driving?

Sasha lives by himself now in Beverly area, across the yellowhead on the 50th street. And I was at his house during that meet and we went to see Hangover 2 after haha For that meet this weekend we can cruise together maybe if you wanna go to that at Hawrlak (can't spell that word) park.

Yea I installed the switchbacks and the resistors. It wasn't a problem at all. It was harder getting the module out than soldering in the new resistor haha And yea I will save you that one, it's in my car so when ever you wanna do it it's cool

And damn man that M3 is sparkling now. Holly shit, great job.

Haha thanks Yumcha. Nah I think I'll stick to being a weekend warrior. I already have my full time job, two other part time jobs and detailing on the weekend. I definitely need to reorganize my priorites, I'm putting in way too many hours a week and I'm exhausted lol. Are you based in Edmonton? If you're interested in having a detail I'm sure we can work something out.

@Myron - How do the switchbacks look? Haha we'll see how much clarity we can restore to your paint when it's your cars turn.

Switchbacks look great. But when I signal, and turn the signal off, there is like 1 second pause before the white LEDs turn back on. And man you have seen my car, I need that detail BAD.

Hmm on the vleds site they have a short youtube video of the type 2 switchbacks in use. I noticed they had a delay when it switched between amber and white. Does the delay seem like it is too long?
Lol now it's time for you to get led drl's. During the day you can't just have the led switchbacks and regular bulbs. The spending never ends..

haha nah man I don't drive around with my swithbacks during the day. I am kind of feeling the yellow DRL on the black housing headlights. Might get some bulbs that are more yellow.

if you black out your headlights you might change your mind. I wanted to get the LED DRLs but didn't wanna pay over 100$ for that. I might get the tail lights for that money

Lol wait the switchbacks aren't on when the drl's are on? Are they only on when the lights are turned on at night?

why would they be on? Look at your car and check to see if they are on at the same time.

Lol I'll check when I get back next month. I guess I thought they were on since that amber chunk in the headlight always lit up. I must have been tricked by the reflection. Fail.

1. Myron
2. HeatbagTL
3. edmua6
4. riicky (assuming he didn't change his mind )
5. tsxsingh (same here )

I'm going to pm vietboi, gldcrzy, iChinese, jbond, and the RL guy about the meet. Vincent will not be able to make it since he will be out of town, and Sanjay cannot drive due to his surgery. Also, I got Mike's number (CSX-S guy) so I'll send him a text message.

Alright, I sent everyone a pm including wphan and twizzla (2G TLs).

So what time are we going to meet? Whyte Ave or UofA parkade? Also, we should meet a little bit earlier and let's go to a wand wash place and wash our cars at the same time. Just sayin

Sanjay, so you can't drive for a month? that sucks. maybe finish your project?

I guess we will just wash our cars on our own then. So what is the final decision on the meeting place? And what time? 12:30? I need more suggestions from the north side guys
