For those not on my FB, on Thursday I got rear ended by a truck. I was on Wayne Gretzky Drive on the bridge headed southbound. Everyone in front of me started to brake hard so I did as well. Truck behind me didn't notice and slammed into me. I was driving my Dad's CR-V since I was on my way out to the Banff area for a snowshoe trip. Luckily nobody was seriously injured. Both vehicles involved will most likely be write offs.

https://www.facebook.com/SanjayMuduliar <--- Me.

On a lighter note, bought and installed my yakima roof rack and fat cat 6 on the car. QPDO thinks it looks gay as shit. I dont mind it. I find it super lame that our back seats cant fold down. This was my reasoning to buy the roof rack.

Anyone heard from Arthur? I think i saw him this morning as he floored it past me. So lets chill peeps, an Im down for a winter meet if anyone's going to show up haha. Im also in school for the next 2 months so maybe grab some food later?? or something. Just text me if you guys wanna, its on facebook. Just make sure to put my middle name, its Quyen UY Hoang.

@ Sanjay - Nice rack, . ( No dirty thoughts allowed here ). I was debating on whether to get one or not.

Also does anyone have any spare rims i could buy from someone. My bolt pattern i believe is the same as most of what you guys have. 5 x 114.3 although my hubs is 64.1 mm, just asking around thats all.

^ saw you today. that was me. however, i didn't floor the TL that time. i never floor the TL during winter.

Vince, that CRV took a major blow. good thing nobody was hurt.

Sanjay, I like the rack. There's nothing wrong with that as long as you are using it.

Sanjay - Haha sadly I went to CT and bought some Nighthawk Platinum bulbs and replaced it. About 20 minutes after, boom - car is totalled. Can't return headlight bulbs after they're opened.

Roof rack looks okay. As long as it's functional lol. Are you planning to remove it during the summer?

Probably grey, or graphite to match my car which is anthracite

Meaning to ask you you8myrice, the lower part of your front bumper is that OEM?

i think grey would look nice, black would be a odd contrast i think.

i'm not too sure what you're referring too? if you mean the lip, than yes its OEM, it's the type s aspec lip.

@Aaron - Not sure why you wouldn't color match the a-spec lip with the body. It would look really off if you went with a different color. Doing that kind of thing may only flow if your car has a dump load of other mods to suit the style.

@Quyen - Painting is heavily focused on the prep work. It requires sanding down the area prior to and doing so in a dust free environment, preferably a booth. I'll probably give a shot at painting my front lip myself. If it turns out to be junk, so be it I'll pay someone to fix it. Not a huge loss for learning something that may come in handy.

@Tai - Lol but corolla's are so handy and reliable! Slightly lacking in the power department, just a little bit.

@ Sanjay - Oh i was afraid you were pissed when i made a comment about the roof rack. That is all .

Im wondering, the guy with the TL-S like Vince's but has an Greddy Evo exhaust, is that iMitchell? Not sure if thats how you spell it, but i saw him parked a few days ago. Almost thought it was Vince's til i got a closer look at it.

@ Vince - I do have a buddy in autobody so if i mess up im not worried since i'm thinkin of buying a grille and headlights from someone, once i have the moolah and figuring out how much shipping is from the UK. So now i got some TSX-R lenses as spares in case somethin happens, .

@ QPDO - Sorry totally forgot your name, my bad . Not sure if i asked but any performance mods on the NSX? An awsome pictures by the way.

For performance mods:

- Comptech Headers
- AP-X resonated test pipes
- AP-X stainless cat back exhaust

This winter I'll be upgrading my 240cc injectors for 410cc RDX injectors, installing an AEM F/IC and getting a tune.

@Quyen - Mitch sold his car. I'm quite certain I know who you're to referring to though. It's a KBP TL-S with a-spec kit and yellow fog overlays. He's not active on the forum. I detailed his ride 2 summers ago.

@Aaron - OH LOL my bad. Plasti dip has a newer color out, gunmetal. Could give that one a try to see how it looks with your car.

That Gunmetal plasti dip is a weird color tho, its not dark enough to be gun metal, looks more like just a grey..

The rack system was roughly 400 and the snowboard attachment (fatcat 6) was 250.

I'll be ordering them soon for my car, as my switch backs are flakey as all hell.

On another note, took the car to Marmot yesterday.

Car looks amazing as always sanjay, feeling the rack! :P

Questions for the 3Gen TLers, any of you have an aftermarket hood? I got an aftermarket hood for mine, its heavier then the original one so it wont stay open now... please give your input! thanks

Sounds like you need to replace your gas struts on the hood. Simple fix. Did you end up getting new headlights or stuck with oem?

Yikes that sucks. With the constant freeze thaw cycle of our weather the roads are getting worse and worse. There are some brutal pot holes down 75st after Wayne Gretzky.

Haha I think it's debatable who's luck is worse, yours or mine. My radio decided to quit on me again. Same symptoms as before, backlighting stays on even though the key is out. I had a new unit put in September that was supposed to address the issue but no luck. It drained my battery on Sunday since I forgot to pull the fuse so I had to boost my car on Monday.

This happened recently too. Pulling up my driveway and hear a loud boom. Apparently a huge chunk of ice was camouflaged by snow and it left a nice crack in my bumper. It popped my bumper partially off as well. Luckily the a-spec lip will cover it up.

@sanjay...the shocks were fine with the OEM hood, shop replaced it with an aftermarket and its heavier then the OEM. Right when I opened the hood it felt a lot heavier! So not sure if replacing shocks would solve the problem! And yes I ended up getting a set of headlights from JNC.

@vince...the crack will hide under the a spec lip!

Im sure new gas shocks will probably fix the issue dude. Nah, I gurantee it will. Get after market ones if you want, like Tein or something. The new one is probably slightly heavier, but those shocks were probably worn out and able to just barely support the weight of the stock hood. Post up pics of your car!
