Calgary Aziners
Visions is a bit different, they outsource their installers so its not just some kid that thinks he knows something doing the job. All the installers I've met at visions have been around for a while and know what they are doing. Best buy and future shop don't do the same thing
I Agree with this 100% Visions installers do excellent work.. They have always fitted my sound in my EL, and both my old CSX's and now with my new ILX they will be fitting 2 x 10" Alpine Type R Subs with all speakers replaced that are stock this weekend.. I use the one on Mcloed Trail.
Hey guys, I just moved to Strathmore a couple weeks ago from Sask. And just wondering how much average r u guys paying for your vehicle here in AB. My car is TL Tech 2009 and it costs me about 1500 including package policy in Sask, and I heard the insurance gotta be much higher here. And last question is can anyone check me a very reputable autobody shop to repaint my front bumper in Calgary? And I saw there are two dealers in Calgary area, which one do u guys think has better services. I know I have too many questions, but I really appreciate u guys can answer those for me. Thanks a lot!
Eric : Your insurance will probably be higher here, but there are many variables that each company takes into consideration. You should get quotes from at least 3 insurance brokers. If you are a member of a professional association such as APEGA, you can get a break on your rates. I have a 09 TL SH-AWD, and I pay less than 1500.
I recommend A1 Auto Body for a body shop, but if you just need to get it touched up, I would recommend Chris at Auto Touch Ups Inc. I wanted to get a few things touched up on my 2006 TL when I bought it, and they did a good job for a fraction of the body shops. If you are looking for more than a touch up, take it to A1.

Eric : I didn't answer the question on dealerships, I thought other people might have more of an opinion. I can say I have had good and bad experiences with both. The bad experiences at both have to do with warranty work. You will have to look up any extended warranties on this site, and fight a bit to get them to honour it. The work they do is fine, but the prices are high. I called both dealerships on my 2006 TL to see what they recommended to get done at the 100K mark. North West recommended significantly more than Silver Hill. Silver Hill recommended more than T&T Honda. Everyone insists they are right. I take my TL's to a local mechanic I trust that lives in my neighborhood. The price he charged to replace the defective Blue Tooth module was less than half of the dealership price.
Hey BadICeBiker, thank you so very for your detailed info. And yea, I would go try A1 autobody to repaint my front bumper. And I also have a scratch on my driver side door that hit by some irresponsible people when they open their door, so i may give the auto touch up a call as well. And for the extended warranty, do u know how much that costs per year here? Again, I appreciate your reply and hope urself have a nice thanksgiving weekend next week!
A1
Eric :
A1 has loaner cars, but you have to pay for them. I don't know what Auto Touch-ups does for door dings. The warranty I was talking about is sometimes refered to as the "secret warranty". It was for things like the defective ignition on the 1st gen Cl's, or the defective tranny's and SRS sensro on the second generation TL's. Acura extended the warranty on some things to 10 years. I had my SRS light covered by Acura as it failed under the 10 year limit.
Hope this is useful.

Hi guys, I just joined the site today and just wanted to say hi.
My name is Mike, I currently do not drive an Acura but I will pretty shortly as I do work for one of the dealers in Calgary.
I'm tossed between a 2014 ILX Dynamic or a 2013 TL SH-AWD 6sp. I know they are completely different cars at different price points. Will definitely post pics when I do pick up either of those!
Look forward to meeting you 403-ers, do you guys have regular meets?

Couple years ago we would have annual meets but it died off in recent years
Tell me you're swapping her for a gtr!
Nah, I'm at NorthWest Acura. Today, I got to drive the 2014 ILX Dynamic. I'm seriously leaning towards it now since the '14s Dynamic comes with Navigation as standard now!
Which car did you end up going with?
Hey guys. Going to be storing my 07 TL on the driveway for the winter and just insure my winter beater (96 camry). Other than fuel stabilizer, plugging up the exhaust with rags and pulling the battery and throwing a tender on it, any tips for leaving a car parked outside in the Calgary winters? Unfortunately no room in the garage to store a car.

Hi, all. New member here. Drive a 2010 TL SH-AWD (5AT).
I checked out "Pseudo's Guide to Adding Power to Your 4G" and wanted to get started on some mods. I've been in touch with Tunerworks and Autodream about my first mods (K&N Typhoon air intake vs. Icebox, catback exhaust). I'm settling for the K&N but am having some difficulty deciding on catback. I'm torn between ATLP and XLR8, although Bryan at Tunerworks wasn't familiar with XLR8. I ruled out Comptech because they have an axleback, not a full catback.
Any suggestions on the catback and where to have the work done (Tunerworks, Autodream, JB Power, Tuning Factory)? Thanks!

Probably going to sell my car this summer sometime between June-July. I am the original owner and not parting it out so selling it as is with both sets of wheels, stock w/ blizzak and Enkei GTC01 with 255 Nittos on them. Just trying to gauge the level of interest in it before I pull the trigger. I just rolled over 100,000km on the weekend. Mods are in my signature!
Car is finally listed on Kijiji. Not parting out anything and selling as is.

Hey brand new here. Recently purchased an 04 Tl and am looking to do some work to it. I've done a bunch of reading and think I want to do an xlr8 vs j pipe and aem vs intake. Any wise words for me? Also anywhere in town that a guy can talk to about getting these in for me? Would prefer to deal local rather than online.
hey all, new here, time to sink my teeth into this forum lol.
Anyone looking for some local Honda/Acura love should check with David at Speed Options in Calgary.
I will post more of an intro when I have battery life on my phone.
