looking for best product to clean my wheels.
i've seen a few different options at the auto stores and was wondering if you guys can point me in the right direction.


i have always cleaned my wheels by hand since i started driving.

well, its awkward to say the least to clean my latest set of wheels as my fingers cant fit in all of the small recesses and corners.

i was looking into to options to clean and wanted to know what will be more efficient, and which will not damage my wheel's painted surface

How would this fair on painted wheels... Wpuld the stipple brush leave marks on the clear coat?

A cheaper option is to go to Wal-Mart and get the micro-fiber brush. I use it on my wheels, with just soap and water.

There is a smaller version too. I advise to get both but if you can only get one get the larger one. Its also great for cleaning the exhaust area.

All you need is 1 brush (the mini EZ brush for the inner barrels ). A cheap wash mitt for cleaning the face of the rims ONLY. An all purpose cleaner (Meguiar's APC+ comes to mind, come in a 1 gallon jug, and cheap too), some cheap microfiber towels from costco, and you are pretty much all set.
You can probably get everything mentioned for under $50 bucks or so. That 1 gallon of Meg's APC+ will last a very long time lol.

I'd get both the EZ and EZ mini brush if you can, they look amazing. They can also be bend to get behind the spokes and in hard to reach areas. Check out Wes_R's details to see the Mini in action, I know he uses it a lot on his cars. The big one I hear is also useful for doing the wheel wells.

And the real beauty? No splash back with those stiff nylon brushes that fall apart after a while! Had the same Ace for over 4 years.

I am a freak about trying out new things for the wheels...end up with the long handled blue rim brush for the tire and face of rim, then there's this little wand that has microfiber and that bug sponge netting on it...works great for the spokes etc.

We all have our little toys we can't do without, that's for sure!
