A quick fix from the Windows.com site and Im up and running. However, my internet connections still says I have no connection, but in my tool bar, its all lit up and operating fine! Go figure. I guess this will hold until I can get a new one (laptop).
Secure also for those who like ordering from the site.......

Maybe you have two applications trying to manage the wireless adapter (for example an HP app that does the wireless configuration, as well as Windows' own Wireless configuration utility)

One of them might show connected, while the other doesn't. You can only use one of them at a time. It's working at least, but if you're just curious, that's something you can check.
