Using leather protectant

Hi everyone. Reading through all your threads, it seems that most of us agree that the interior of the TSX is composed of some combination of actual leather and leatherette.
If I'm using a leather conditioner, is there any harm if I use it on the leatherette areas? (other than wasting money) It is just kinda inconvenient to use leather on certain areas and then vinyl conditioner on the non leather areas. An example would be the seats since you'd have to use leather conditioner on the perforated areas and then switch over to using vinyl conditioner on the bolsters etc. Thanks in advance for your input.

You can also use the vinyl conditioner on the leather. Take a look at the "use" and "directions" on your vinyl product. Most can be used on leather.

Thanks exceldetail, I am thinking of forking out the $$$ to get the Zaino leather protectant and just wanted to make sure that I could use it on the entire leather/leatherette surface. It seems most people here agree that Zaino is the way to go if you are willing to pay for it.

There are many options available to you. My understanding is Zaino is one, although not preferred by myself. Car care products can be a personal decision based on particular needs and most importantly, ease of use, which allows the owner to use with ease and satisfaction. If a product is difficult to use, it usually ends up collecting dust on the shelves.

What would you recommend as an easy to use, low shine leather/leatherette clearner?

I'm not sure what would be easier than Zaino's leather products and it is extremely high quality. I also like how it makes the leather look - looks more natural than lots of other products.

Mothers Reflections Leather Care - it is a 1-step leather cleaner/conditioner. It is OTC, smells great, incredibly easy to use (spray and wipe down once) and leaves a nice matte finish on my ebony leather TL.

I have experience with both Zaino Z9 and Z10; I am not a fan.

303 Protectant can be used pretty much throughout the car, and offers U.V. protection......Four Star Leather Gel care also...
