undercoating / rust proofing?
is it nesscerly to get undercoating / rustproofing for new cars? i been told that new cars has already been treated with them... can anyone give me any advice if i should or not.... oh btw i live in hawaii so im pretty close to the beach...

Check your warranty first , some will be void on the perforation if aftermarket rustproofing applied.
It can also clog important drain holes.
Rustproofing won't stop surface rust.

I've been considering this too since I live in New England and plan to keep the car for at least another 4 years. It's already 4 years old and is starting to accumulate surface rust on the undercarriage.

If your going to do it it needs to be done new .. covering rust doesn't stop it ..

I asked when it was new and they said it was "dipped" at the factory and didn't need it.
The rust that's on there really is surface rust and can be taken off with a brush easily.
