:devilgrin I'm evil, I know but I just wanted to give everybody a taste of what I'm working on right now.
I've detailed the RL before but always with a random orbital so this is it's first time getting the Makita's love. These two photos really illustrate the vital importance of finishing down your work when using a rotary. For cutting, I initially toyed with Super Finish and a white but it was leaving too many defects so I pumped it up to Menzerna SIP and a green pad which created a TON of holograms. The finishing pass used Menzerna PO85RD and a black pad.
Can you imagine looking at this and thinking Well my job here is done.? I can't.
The sad thing is, most "detail" shops around here pump out car after car looking about like this.

Here is the same door after finishing down, no LSP.

For the most part, the majority of people either don't know or don't care, they just simply don't know what to look for!? Auto detailing is a fine art, and your looking at a masterpiece in the works by Van Gogh himself!!!

Thanks, Nate but I'm afraid Todd is the Van Gogh of the auto detailing world. I'm the equivalent to Norman Rockwell. Thread

. How do one of those shops manage to keep getting customers with that kind of workmanship?
