Photoshop: 2013 Lexus IS

teaser...

i assure you, just about everything has been tweaked one way or another...the greenhouse proportions, window lining and belt line represent about 3 hours right there.

more to come...

Hard to tell a difference aside from the door handles, side skirt and it being lowered.

Nice, but looks like more of a LCI than a total redesign.

Nice, but there's no way the 2013 will look like that. Not sure if that's what LCI means but the chop looks more like a MMC than a FMC. In fact, that's what the refreshed IS should have looked like.

Don't get me wrong, it looks good.... just I don't think they'd make the new model so similar.

ok, i just got back from the garage. i eyed my 2g up and down....the rendering is NOT similar! haha

seriously, i think the front is a pretty accurate interpretation of where lexus is going with their upcoming models. the side of the rendering, however, is VERY similar. maybe not to me, since i made all of the changes, and i also drive a 2is daily. but anyway, i didnt change the overall body of the car (esp. the sides), b/c frankly, i dont think lexus will either.

thanks man. yes, lots of work. after 200 layers in photoshop altering the original, you wonder why you didnt bother starting from scratch...its frustrating when people dont notice certain changes, when in fact, most parts have been modified. completely understandable i guess.

you should see the outcome of a similar thread started on clublexus. members were basically cursing me out for misleading them with the thread. they neglected to read my explanation that it was my photoshop. they assumed that i was leaking an official rendering...as if i cheated them. i was "wasting their bandwidth with this crap"

which is why i will always stay loyal to a-cl.

Take it from a real graphic designer, your work isn't THAT good. I'm not doubting you got those reactions, but I can tell instantly from your renderings that they're in fact that, renderings. You need some work on your perspective and reflections, but otherwise for a novice it's nice work. By no means would a pro be confused thinking it was a photo though.
