Tape or not tape? Poll
I recently read about taping off rubber parts here, and I've not done it in the past. Sounds like a lot of trouble, and buffing tape off also can be an issue.
I just polish and wax which gets a lot on rubber parts. But then I go over the rubber with rubber/vinyl cleaner protectant and that seems to take most of it off. Then I do the glass, and finally, buff off any excess rubber/vinyl cleaner with detail spray and a MF cloth.
How many of you tape and how many do not bother? Just curious. I'm done my fall routine, but may try tape in the spring. I've not had issues with my current method, though. Until reading it here, I've never heard of taping the car.

I'm the first "no" vote, since I have not done it.

I hate dealing with polish on rubber trim so I just tape to save myself the hassle and time. I've taped enough cars that it doesn't really take me all that much time anymore.
