so i guess they still send out the original udm for replacement udm's instead of the newer pc/udm....how can i tell if its a refurb or not...its such a cool machine, its a shame they have issues...

 

New for new, refurb for refurb...........At least that was their policy last I checked.......Its been awhile since I had to help someone with a return.......

 

i would have thought new for new would mean new pc version udm for old version udm....i guess they have a bunch of old version udm's that they have to get rid of first...and sell the new version when people buy new??

 

They may reach a point that a UDM would need replacing, and they wont have any to replace with, except the PC. If your in need to replace the UDM, ask them to replace it with the PC. They have very good CS, they may just abide your request.
