Scored PC 7424 & Pads
Scored PC 7424 & Pads
I got lucky (I believe) and scored a new PC 7424 and an assortment of 12 used pads for $170 - guy decided to move up to a Flex. He also threw in a pint of Chemical Guys scratch and swirl remover.
I took the PC, a green pad and the Chemical Guys to my wife's 2000 Camry, followed up with Duragloss 601 and 105. Unfortunately I lost my light (sundown), so I'm not sure how it really looks, but I know it has to be 100% better than it was.
I 'experiment' on my wife's car before trying techniques on my TL. Please don't tell her.

6 1/2" pads. Mix of Lake Country and Hi-Gloss Professional - most are Hi-Gloss Professional. To my eye, pads look pretty decent although some of the "lips" on the backings are cracked. I don't see where that should be an issue. Let's see... I got 2 yellow, 3 orange, 1 green, 3 white, 2 black and 1 red... so I think I'm set until I manage to wear them out.
Also got a smaller backing pad - maybe 5", extra wrench and handle from the owner's previous PC 7332 (?) that gave up the ghost.
All in all I think I did pretty well. I was happy and so was the guy I purchased the goods from.
