My 8hr Zaino experience!

I started getting all my stuff together at about 12:30 and i finished the 3rd coat at around 8. It is a very exhausting process. I still need to polish the exhaust tips, interior, tires.. damn.. 8hrs and i still have so much to do..

before i zainoed i had a pretty good wax job, but it had some swirls, zaino took alot of that out, but it looks like i got some streaks down the hood. I can't really see it that well because it was too dark when i was done...

i'll post some pics..

Agreed, a good paint cleaner/swirl remover using a PC could
have removed the "spider webs".

I pretty much get the same/better results without the eight hours

i just followed the zaino process.. and the guide in the sticky faq...
its the first time i have ever done anything like that before....
so for my first time i guess its not that bad...

anyone have any ideas on how to keep my car a lil bit less f@ckin dusty...
or any ideas on how to improve this zaino job.. obviously its too late to prep the paint...

I've read at Autopia that Zaino (and I believe synth sealants in general) actually tend to hold the dust more than what you get with carnuba wax jobs...

Perhaps as a final coat after all your Zaino, you could top her off with carnuba to reduce your dust issues...

Or get a CALI car duster???

Microfiber and polymers (inc vehicle paint) contain or are formulated with either; nylon, polyester, nylon and plastic by-products, the one thing they all have in common is that if applied using friction they will cause static elecricity, which in turn attracts dust.

Using a QD (which is mostly formulated with water) or rinsing the vehicles paint after polishing / applying wax.sealant will greatly reduce if not eliminate its staic build-up

Lothian110: The vehicle looks great, could it be improved (like all things) yes it could. It really does all come down to; 85% preparation, 5% product, 7% application method and the balance is in the ‘guy’ of the beholder. I'm not suggesting that prep will make an 85% improvement, but imagine how good it would look with 40, 50 60%+ improvement?

The car the shine look AWESOME.

My wife, the photographer in the family, says you have created a whole new level ( of perfection and dedication) with the pictures of you reflecting off of the hood and the side panels!!!!

Nice job.....we are in awe...

thanks...
i apreciate the comments...
it has been raining sooo much lately here.. i havent been able to give her a good wash... I'm gonna put on another three coats as soon as the weather clears up...

I did the interior yesterday and it looks AMAZING... i used zaino cleaner and protectant on the leather... and vinlex on the dash and all the plastic parts.. and i mean everything.. INCLUDING MY KEY! Then it poured rain for several hours

dedication is not the word.. maybe obsession...
I even keep a microfiber towel in the trunk.. and 1 spray bottle with water and another with diluted zaino car wash for quick clean up of bird shit!!!
