muffler tips

muffler tips

Any suggestions on what to use to clean the muffler tips I am trying to remove the black stuff from them and shine them up some.

I dont normally bother with the inside diameter. Outside I use chrome cleaner, or metal polish.......

Patrick, what do you use to apply it? Old MF or something else? I plan on doing the inside as well, so the applicator will probably get pretty fouled...

Usually a cheapo MF.....Also try some APC and that bottle brush ive been referencing before.

Thats another good one. But clean it first, leaves better polishing action with the wadding material.....That stuff kills my fingers though, makes em turn all whhite!

i have used (twice) a regular 409 house cleaner with paper napkins to do the job... i am not suggesting that you should do the same (since i am a noobie @ this), but the results have been promising so far...

I use simple green to clean my pipes....ok that doesn't sound right but you know what I mean, lol
