Minor Problem when washing..

When wet, brake rotors look "rusty" I know this is pretty normal (correct?) and it's gone after only a few feet of driving.
The following is my question/comment:
After I wash it, I pull it it my garage for a little final dry off. The last two times I've noticed that I have rust colored water on my right rear tire and wheel (it wipes right off with a "sacrificed" terry cloth towel), it's only a little spittle of it. By the next morning when I head to work it's dry enough and everything is fine.

Is this something I just have to deal with? Is there a way to stop this? Is it something I should have looked at?

Do you use any tire dressing when you clean your car? alot of the quickie spray tire shines or foams will become discolored brown when they come in contact with rain water or after washing. I notice this alot with mine, so I either just scrub the tires good while washing, or apply more tire shine.

It could also be some of the ferrous brake linings......

i think that its just the water run off from the rotors that run off to the wheel and tire when you move the car (the water might contain little bits of metal that give the "rusty" look)... after i wash my car i let it sit for like an hour before i even do any driving (just in case any water that is still in the crevises that i cant get, get a chance to dry up) besides... i take a shower and finally get a chance to eat so that takes an hour alone..

I agree sounds like run-off wont worry to much unless you start seeing a bigger and bigger puddle, then something is leaking..
