Leather conditioner that leaves behind a DULL look?

When my leather was new it has a nice low shine look..after the years it has taken on a shine that I hate. Does anyone know which brand of leather conditioner leaves behind a really DULL finish on the leather? Thanks

I have always been a fan of Lexol. The cleaner will get rid of that shine and then finish it up with the conditioner. It should result in a nice matte look.

Is the shine from your coniditioner, or is it a sheen from wear and tear?? I use Meguiars or Lexol .. both seem to keep the leather looking pretty good, but if you don't clean regularly the dirt trapped in the leather can leave a "shine" on the leather from the polishing action.

I use Meguiar's Quik Interior (mist and wipe).
It gets rid of the dirt and leaves a restored coarce surface.

Lexol is the best. It protects and enhances and doesn't leave a shiny coating behind. I highly reccommend it!

If you have a Pep Boys around you they should carry it. Not sure about the others though.

I use Zaino. It comes with a leather cleaner and a leather conditioner. I smells great and drys pretty fast (depending on the humidity and temperature)

I've found that Lexol gives my leather the shiny look, as another has pointed out. I want to keep that dull leather look, though. has anyone else experienced this with lexol?

I agree with both Zaino and Lexol. I used Zaino's leather cleaner spray and followed up with Leather in a Bottle, and my seats look and smell great, with no shine. I decided to get Lexol wipes at Pep Boys too, for quick jobs. So far it's working well for me.

Edit: The Lexol wipes really don't leave too much of a shine. I find that it looks shiny at first, but dries fairly dull. Zaino doesn't leave a shine at all, in my experience.

The only place I've been able to find it out here is at carwashes, and the Ace hardware in Tempe.

Definitely get Lexol though.

For Lexol, they SHOULD carry it, autozone that is, I've seen it in a few stores around my area, if not, just call and ask.

You most likely need to give your seats a thorough cleaning. Body oils and wear and tear have caused that gloss sheen most likely.

If you want a nice leather care system try Leathermaster http://www.topoftheline.com/leather-...r-cleaner.html

Excellant results

I agree, before swapping conditioners. I would make sure your seats are squeeky clean first. If they are dirty, it doesnt matter what conditioner you use, they'll still be shiny.

A good leather cleaner is a mix of woolite and water. Works better than many dedicated leather cleaners.
