How to remove pin stripes from a car
Either take to a professional detailer or take to an acura dealer or the do it yourself method depending on the age of the car is to use a heat gun to remove the taped stripes from the car by waiting for the lines to bubble and then peeling them back, this however must be done carefully or you will burn the paint by holding the gun in one place too long. Glue from a taped stripe will be left and a mild solvent or wax should do the job to remove the stripe glue. But i would suggest that you take it to the dealer that you bought the car from and they would probably be willing to do it for a minimal cost which is far easier than doing it yourself. And if the car is more than a year old dont even bother because there is going to be lines on the car if it is a dark color from were the sun has not faded the paint. But if the car is white or silver or champange it can probably be done with no problem then. good luck and anymore questions just send a message.

Pinstripe removal
You might want to try soaking your car down with some gasoline and lighting it on fire. I asked Bdheilig, the "Professional Acura Detailer" the same question and that's what he recommended. I would do whatever he says !!
Thanks for the help. I now have a "burning" desire to remove those strips. Ha, ha.
Anyway, the car is black and I had some paintless dent removal done to the car that broke the paint (so much for paintless) that required them to fix the broken paint. During the process I had them remove the pint strip since I didn't like the strips anyways and they did a shitty job the first time I didn't want anything else getting in their way.
The car is a '98 and you can kinda tell where the strip was before, but I like the car a lot better with out them. You think a good orbital buffer would do the trick to "blend" in the dark spots?

Well, got 'em off. Looks good so far. Not to noticable of a difference where the strips were before. I am having a hell of a time getting the adhesive off. I heard WD-40 works pretty well. Anyone know of a prefered method to remove glue of paint without damaging it?
