Help me clean my car

I have a Lexus and a Acura. The Acura is great ( that's is a like new and I take care of it every week ). My mother drive a Lexus and today she told me to clean her car for her. I think it as easy as my Acura but not. There is an egg drop in the trunk and some bird crap. I try to wash 3 times but it's still stuck in her car. Does anyone has experience about it ? . I want to try to make the Lexus likes new again.

well by washing it three times you wont make it like new again. There is a lot more to it. But to get that of, go to autozone or alike and get a product specificaly made to remove things like that....

Take it to a detail shop i owned one for years we had people come in all the time with small problems that they made worse by not knowing what to do. Get someone in ur area that knows how to buff a car and let them fix it

Can the detail shop do that ? . I did not go the detail ship before but the car wash was not pretty much better than I do it myself. I know that when I come they will say they can and maybe when it won't work they will make an excuse

If the clear coat is etched epecially with the egg drop, it will take polishing to correct the finish. If you do not have access to the proper equipment, take it ot a professional detail shop. Good luck.....

The Bug and Tar remove work well but no really much. I will wash and try to clay + polish + wax the car to see if it's better. I'm still a student so I don't have a lot of money to take the car to detail shop or a paint shop .

Do NOT polish the car yourself. You'll just make it worse than it already is. Unless you're experienced behind a PC or rotary, do not do anything yet. You can clay the hell of it, which should help a lot.

On a side note: A proper exterior detail costs about the same as polishing supplies, doesn't it?

If it bugs you that much, maybe you can cut a deal with the detailer to get rid of just that one defect for cheaper, instead of having the whole car detailed.

And for a good detail, it's gonna be more than $150

I switch the cars often so I don't want to drive a car with those things. I think maybe I will have to ask the nearest detail shop. Liked I said, I worry that they say they can remove those things then it's not good they make an excuse and won't return money.( I experienced it twice , one time in the body shop and another in the car wash )

The guy already says he knows how to polish and wax, why would you tell him to go to a detail shop? Most detail shops have no F'n clue what they are doing. Just curious, why do you no longer own a detail shop?

You'll never get the results you're looking for without the PC. Polishing by hand just doesn't have the 'oomph' you need to get the results you desire. Take the plunge and pick up a starters kit. You'll thank me later.

EDIT: OP if you want to avoid hack detailers, look them up here on AZ, or autopia.org. Take pics before and after of your car and the problem areas, and tell the detailer you need the stain completely gone, before you pay

I try to take the pics but it's kinda hard to see . Maybe because I clay it too much now it's only can see without the light. I think I will let it pass. It's not really serious but I want it to disappear. Beside it rains a lot these day.

this is the second time I washed it since that stubborn egg dropped. It's gone but lightly. But 1 thing I can not fix is the crack in the black pain inside the coat. It feels like dust but can not wash away.

Try using a claybar on it. That removes contaminants embedded in the clearcoat, and makes the surface feel like glass afterwards

egg is a tough cookie....my ex girl egged (1 fucken dozen) my car when i broke up with her

I poured some warm water on the car all over the car....wiped it off with 5 cotton cloths....then repeated the procedure.....but since in your case the egg is stuck on there....i would use warm water on it.....then some goo-gone.....and finally bug and tar remover......

wash her again and then wax and polish....

clay works good for like you said embedded in the clearcoat...this would be a case of bird crap etching and egg/acid etching...neither of which will a claybar remove...

people throw the word polish around like they know what they are talking about when in reality, they dont....i am guessing he doesnt polish, but just does hand powered work...i dont consider this to be polishing....
