Finally had time to clean my car..

Almost 2 months later I finally got around to working on my car. I used a bunch of new products so I had fun.

Chemical Guys Citrus
4* UPP
4* Ultimate Scratch and Swirl Remover
PC 7424XP with Green Pad

I only used the Green Pad on my hood as I only have minor swirl marks and really didn't think it'd be worth doing the entire car. I definitely removed a majority of swirls, and was happy with my first use of the PC7424XP I just bought.

I also LOVE the CG Citrus Wash, and would recommend it.

The 4* UPP went on very easy, and came off even easier. I love how it looks on the car. It's cloudy right now so now outdoor shots, but will try to get some tomorrow.

Before wash

Finished

Next project is my wife's car. Will have to clay & polish the entire car. It's a 2001 Black Nissan Xterra, so it'll be a challenge!

Looking good!

I have the CG Citrus Wash too and love it. how much of it did you use? I noticed a very little goes a LONG way!

Did you clay before polish?

I know I used too much CG for 2 reasons..

1) I kicked over the bucket within a couple minutes of washing
2) I didn't realize how concentrated it was, so next time I'll definitely use less.

I did not clay my hood, as I did the plastic bag test, and my hood felt good. I will definitely have to clay my wife's car, but didn't think it was necessary to do on my car.

Be sure to be cautious next time you use it for a "normal" wash. If you use enough, it's strong enough to remove your 4* UPP

Your bulb cover on the garage opener is hanging low ;-). Nice job on the cleaning! I hate my black TL 'cause the water here is full of lime and calcium.. impossible to clean!

Didn't really take many pictures because I only polished the hood. I'll take more of the Xterra when I get it done. I also debadged my wagon Sunday, and the PC came in very handy. There were fine scratches where the TSX & Acura badges were, so I just used the PC to make it nice and shiny.

Just a little bump, but I did use less last weekend to clean my car and it seems that the 4* UPP is still on there.

Also, drying a car that has 4* UPP is a LOT easier than one without. The towel soaked up the water with ease. It was amazing.

Cool!

Yeah, drying is way better. I have a few coats of UPP (more coming) and the water just runs away.

Washed the car this morning and added a coat of Dodo Juice Purple Haze PRO Soft Wax on top of my 2 coats of 4* UPP... LOVE the results, and I can definitely see a difference.
