Dust CONSTANTLY!
Dust CONSTANTLY!
Hello, I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on how to keep dust from getting all over my car?
I dont live in the country its a pretty large city and I dont drive down any dusty roads so I dont know how it gets there.

I have the same problem too with my 2007 Silver TL Type S. I just go over it regularly with a California Duster. It seems like it's a dust magnet (for some reason). Since mine is a Type S, I'm constantly wiping down the wheels too (because of the Brembo brakes. It's a small price to pay to keep a good looking car looking it's best, in my opinion.
be careful with the california duster as it can catch items, but also can lead to scratches. I just over with QD and a microfiber.
Have yet to use ONR...

Any synthetic will do-
carnuba has too low a melt point-- a sunny day will destroy it~

And he's not talking about break dust, he's talking about dust all over the car in general.

Theres a fine line with Cal Dusters, theres an even finer line when using on black.
Just use common sense, and if you even have to wonder about what may be "too" much dust, opt for NRWS instead.
A note on Pollen. Some pollens contain acids which are activated with water. Most arent harmful enough to damage paint, but you may consider presoaking at a minimum instead of QD'ing. We have a real heavy fallout from the Pines in my area. I did a DWG/UPP on my Expedition a couple weeks ago, then the Santa Anas blew the following day and stirred all that pollen up and ruined 5 hrs of work in about 10 minutes. I have yet to wash it.

Can Four Star UPP be used on the rims? It is a synthetic too.
