cleaning emblem resisdue

I took off the 3.2TL letters on the back of the car. It left behind some sticky stuff I was wondering if using bug and tar remover will work to take it off.
Thanks

Goo Gone works also, but WD is way cheaper.

I just took off the "A C U R A" emblem, and tried to avoid using anything beyond soap and water to help protect the clearcoat.

It took me an hour in the hot sun, and my fingernails left microscratches where I tried to peel away the adhesive.

...

I'm definitely using GooGone for the second emblem.

WD40 and then let it soak and sit, to take off most of the adhesive stuff

then GOO-Gone to take off the residual works very well...
