Anyone own a Flex orbital

Anyone have experience with the flex XC 3401? I am debating buying this or a good Rotary? Anyone?

Not yet, actually Im not sure I want to fork out the nearly $300.00 for it when a rotary can do it in 1/2 the time for about 1/2 as much........Still debating.

Yeah, but the Flex is friendly while the rotary isn't. But with that being said, I'd get the UDM over the Flex. And then use the $$$ saved on pads and supplies.

For ~ $300, you can put together a complete UDM (or PC) setup.

LOL! Yeah I bought a UDM back In OCT I think? It's a great little machine but I need something that can correct paint faster. Those long hours with the UDM are just wearing me out. The Flex appears that it may be just the thing I am looking for, although if someone could show me how to use a Rotary I would probably be happier with that? Any one know of any good training videos on how to use a Rotary?

I dunno, I know you post on the Autopia site, and I"ve watched the Rotary videos and the only thing they seem to emphasize is to keep speeds low and always be moving..

I guess if you want to start a job or do auto detailing for a hobby then i'd probably say yah, go purchase a rotary, but if its your personal cars then i'd stick with the udm.

I'd go to a junk yard and buy a hood, door, or trunk lid to test the rotary on.

Or tell a friend you'll detail their car for them for free.
